"What does it mean to be 'a Real Man'?" LMAO !!! That answer has changed so many times throughout history, that historians wouldn't even be able to give a straight up answer to it. During the medieval times, people looked at kings and knights as 'a Real Man'. History teaches us that these men were usually violent, womanizing, and alcoholics. In the 1700's and 1800's the wild west cowboys were considered real men by most. History also tells us that the majority of these men were hard working, homeless, violent, anti social, and religious when it fit the situation. Most of these same men could not even right their own names, much less read and understand any religious text. Throughout most of the 1900's, real men worked hard to provide for the family, spent time with their kids, usually were religious for appearances, had a decent education for the times, normally served in the military and hide their true personalities and thoughts from the mostly conservative society of the times. Here in the 21st century, some people believe that to even ask this question is an insult to every male that doesn't fit into a popular category, and you are not being caring and sensitive to the feelings of others. Also, that you should be shamed and ridiculed for even thinking about the question. These are just a few examples of what people view as real men, in their time periods. So, "What does it mean to be 'a Real Man?' you ask. I believe the only answer should be , whomever I deem worthy enough of the label and doesn't give a damn about being labeled by society.
P.S. ,
This week, for me, it's my dog for crapping on the neighbors lawn and not mine.
