The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.

This video gives a glimpse into what life looks like in the IDP camps.

Why Fight Against Injustice?

Today, our world is endangered because of the grave injustice unleashed upon it by fellow human beings who have found themselves in the position of power.

Unlawful detention, extra judicial killings, human trafficking, organ trafficking, child labour, slavery, gender discrimination, gender violence, police brutality, social media clampdown, press victimization, racism, etc are some of the injustices confronting our world today. Do we fold our hands and do nothing about it? Absolutely no!

I believe that Steemit is not an ordinary social network site, it can be used as a tool of social change; to speak against injustice, to create awareness about injustice and to give a voice to the oppressed in the society.

Demand for Better Living Conditions in IDP Camps

The victims of Boko Haram in IDP ( internally displaced people) camps across Northern Nigeria in places like Maiduguri are living in horrible conditions. They are living in make shift huts or simply sleep on the ground. They have very little to eat and many are hungry for anything while also struggling to get clean drinking water. The Nigerian government and the UN need to send funds and aid to these camps to help build cheap safe housing.

They also need security for the women and children. Reports rape of women and the starvation of children in the IDP camps are constant. Most important they need Doctors and Nurses with lots of medicine and healthcare to save people that are sick. The Nigerian people are some of the poorest in the world and the lack of resources to this northern region make it have some of the harshest living conditions in the world. Everyone in the world needs to ask their governments to send help and aid to the IDP camps across Northern Nigeria.

Breaking the Silence

It is necessary to break the silence, the humanitarian crisis that they are living victims of Boko Haran, little is said… It is a terrible event that takes more than 8 years, and has left more than 25 thousand deaths, without measuring the emotional consequences that will last a lifetime in the victims .

The refugees live in subhuman conditions and each day children and adults die from hunger and disease. It is regrettable that in the world talk about this problem less than that of the Academy Awards, or the football world cup 2018, or of any vanity that gives back to the world and is in all social networks and all pronounced or comment? Because the problem of internally displaced persons of Nigeria and the impunity has become only a murmur in the media. It is for this reason that global organizations have not done justice, we have ceased to observe them, to speak of the problem and solution and require intervention.

Global Organizations have made negligent and we are responsible too, because we have not been demanding…. Breaking the Silence DEMAND JUSTICE FOR VICTIMS OF HORROR, sensibilicemos that we close for who knows what is going on.

Gracias... Thanks...

The victims of Boko Haram in the camps of internally displaced persons in northern Nigeria, are victims of the different attacks perpetrated by armed groups that have caused the inhabitants to seek to preserve their lives. It is ironic (although necessary) that we call for better living conditions for overcrowding, lack of sanitation, public services among others, of the victims who die while facing such bloody conditions. Then I ask? It will not be better to ask for the cessation of conflicts? Let the displaced people cease and all be taken to their places of origin and give them a decent life. Will it be impossible? Only God can do it ... Then if it is better to ask to improve the conditions of these temporary shelters?
So, if so? What is needed? The conscience not only of the national government, but of the governments that raise their voice internationally demanding better conditions and contribute nothing. Real support is required not only economically, but also in the area of education, health, social security.
This excellent initiative from the steemit community, will somehow make our voices rise, and someone with political power and a kind heart can lend a true help.

Congratulations on your prize-winning entry!

(This is not an entry in your contest.)

This is a great initiative. I've heard a bit about the horrible maltreatment of these people, and this is the type of travesty that needs to be exposed.

There are many places around the globe where other injustices of a similar sort are being perpetrated. Living in Thailand, I've recently learned more about how the Myanmar powers-that-be are conducting ethnic cleansing of sorts in that country. And they are doing so on several fronts.

Millions of people are being chased from their homes, raped, assaulted in other ways, murdered, burned alive, butchered, and worse. All because of their ethnic identity. Hardly a word of the travesties is heard from the mainstream media.

Thanks for doing your part to expose such injustice.

It is my pleasure @majes.tytyty. I may have to look at that area in the other editions of this contest. I can only hope that these injustices get the exposure that are needed and required. Enough is enough.

And I have to thank you for the support shown in this edition of the contest. The tutorials. Thank you sir.

Regards.

The Cry of Victims

The tear drops of our people in IDP camps drums every day, heavily, but ignored and other times partially attended to.
Their disheartening situation of poor living with no access to good water, good medical care and facilities has exposed them to diseases like cholera and other related environmental diseases.
This drums i hit harder to call on the Nigeria Government to salvage their own and turn not an ignored eye there by increasing the supply of drugs and other medical materials and also medical personnel to this region.
I also hit drums harder to call on the UN, health organisations, NGOs,Humanitarian organisations to help our people in dire need

Health to one is health to all!

Together Against Injustice

I pray to God and to international human rights bodies, to intercede to improve the living conditions of the victims of Boko Haram in camps for displaced people in northern Nigeria, sending more economic resources, food, medicine, water, canned food, diapers, clothing, kitchen utensils for cooking, eating, and others. And at the same time, there are more people helping humanitarian work together these people, visiting and contributing their knowledge in all aspects to improve their living conditions.
I condemn this situation they are living these, men, women and children, that they don't deserve to go through all this and above all children that in his mind never erased everything that are living, hunger, diseases, illnesses of the soul that will leave footprints in your heart and will mark forever. Women who are going through horrible situations, where they see their parents die, spouses and children don't deserve any of this brutality, cruelty, who are living.
I refuse to accept this situation of these people. I pray for them that soon to come out of this nightmare, that justice comes to them and they may be free with a lot of quality of life, and can integrate into society.
