I discovered Steemit after I heard a throwaway comment on a youtube video. Intrigued I searched for Steemit and was fascinated by the concept of blogging for money. I didn't have any knowledge of crypto currency, I have slightly more now. I signed up and waited a few days to be accepted - this was 25 days ago.
As the saying goes I came for the money but stayed for the community: it truly is magical and I have never seen anything like it in all my years online. 7 days ago I joined the minnowsupport project, headed by @aggroed. I soon became a greeter on the PALNet Discord channel and now help freshly arrived minnows to acclimatise to the platform, supporting where I can. This for me is so much more rewarding, you just cannot put a dollar value on the feeling I get when helping fellow minnows.
