Oh this is a hard one. So I think I'll choose the one that had the greatest impact on me.

Shogun is a historical fiction about Westerners than land on the shores of Japan and end up staying. It's an old book, so I'm sure there's cultural insensitivities but it taught me a lot about the feudal hierarchies of Japan. It also ignited my love for Japan - and now I've been back three times. The best bits are visiting some of the places mentioned in the book.
There was a TV series made of it - and I wish Netflix or HBO would remake it today. It would be incredible.
