I am a pro in coconut leaf weaving when I was a child because that was our usual toys when we are playing bahay bahayan (playhouse). One day, I wove earrings and put it on my mother's ears. Suddenly, our town mayor came to our house for a visit. Mother was thrilled having a town's mayor at our house. Mother made a snack and entertained our mayor for nearly an hour. When the Mayor left, my mother checked her face in the mirror just to find out she wore the woven coconut earring the whole time Mayor was at our house.

If I could remember well, it Was a childhood friend birthday but no cake so I came up with the idea of using "gari" cassava flakes with strawberry sweet to make a cake.
We put hot water on fire, put cassava flakes, stir it is solid , take it out and use chocolate to rub it round coz we knew cakes are always brown. Then we add the sweet to it. Then we put it back on fire thinking we are baking lolz.

Well, back in the my junior secondary school days! I was this timid kid who lived under the radar. I lived and played by the rules until my school decided to hire a new English teacher and she was just doing her NYSC here. First time in my life I manned up and I wrote her a love letter sprinkled in colored paper and perfume and wrote my name at the end of the letter and slipped it into her bag. Well she was the discipline master girlfriend and I got flogged that day, but I became popular as the JSS2 dude to had the balls to compete with the discipline master for love.

Had a lot of funny childhood memories... I have forgotten some of them, but this one is prominent.
I woke up at night to pee, everywhere was dark and i was so intoxicated by the sleep.. I staggered out of my room. Pull down my pants and began to pee, i thought i was in the bathroom, little did i know i was in the kitchen... My mum woke up to check what was happening, when see flashed her touch into my eye, that was when i jolted back to reality. I found myself peeing in the kitchen.

I also have a funny food experience... when I was in groundschool, perhaps 8 years old, I began to cook and bake.
One evening, when my parents weren't at home I wanted to prepare scrambled eggs and I wanted to make them special, so I thought: Eggs and sugar go well together in cakes, so why not in scrambled eggs?
Well, I Can tell you, I still don't know why, but scrambled eggs and (cane) sugar definitely do not go well together!!! It was disgusting and I had to throw it away and eat a piece of bread instead. 😀😀
And i bet you put lots of sugar. 🤣🤣

I had a lot of funny childhood memories, would share some.
I remember when my mum wants to go out,I would like to follow her,even to work. See would hide my slippers and ask me to get it then escape while I am searching for it,it kept happening and I didn't know its a trick.
I remember when visitors come around and give me money, I give it to my mum to save for me,when I later ask for the money she will tell me that it's part of the food I have been eaten.
I didn't walk until I was a year plus,they tried everything but I didn't. my mum kept cake in the table one day and I walked to steal some.
I do bedwet, will wake up in the night,change my cloth and sleeping position then in the morning I would deny bed-wetting.
I remember crying for 10naira just because it was neat and new,I was given 20 naira but I refused, saying that 10 naira is finer.
When I want to take my bath,I just wash my stomach and hands.

Hello, I share a fun experience of my childhood.
In my country, birth registration was performed in two places in a mandatory form: in one state entity called Notary and the other in the Catholic Church, whose document was called a baptism and both are linked.
In the notary my parents registered me as Maria Enelia, a name that my father liked, although my mother did not do anything funny. She wanted the name "Constanza" for me. Then during my baptism in the church, when the priest asked the name of the child, my brother Fredy, who was about 7 years of age, said "Constanza" and the priest baptized me with this name!
Thus, I had two names, and each one called me by the name of his preference. Until it was time to go to school, so it was necessary to fix this madness in my documents. I already had reason, so I did not want to lean on any since choosing one would be a snub to the other. Solution: I chose a different name, a fashion name at the time, "Sandra Milena" was the name of the current beauty queen of my country, so I chose this one and done it, arranged. But ... it was a little comical the process of adaptation, at first I did not even know that it was me, whom the teacher called on the list of attendance.
Of course, nowadays, I'm already very familiar with my name.

My grandmother told me that when i was little i loved beans so much that i would fart and poo in my body. I am surprised at that cos as at now i hate beans and i dont eat it any longer
She said there was a day she came visiting. She was praying and i wanted to eat beans, I was disturbing her but she did not give me attention due to her prayers.
I went to the kitchen and took pestle, went into her room and hit it on her head because she did not serve me beans. hahahahahahaha. 😃 I still find it funny anytime i remember this story

My childhood experience
At age 6, I began to understand I am a boy. But I was too blind to know that I walked naked most times. Imole as a Yoruba name we called him was my childhood friend... looks like we were born twins perhaps we don't have facial resemblance. We were just too alike in attitude and activities.
Our friendship became so strong that we would eat, drink and play together, and in few minutes ended it with fight.
We were surrounded by cocoa plantation as we spent most of our time after School searching for "mushroom" and hunting "Grasscutter".
On an unlucky Saturday, We hopped to check on our trap. We needed some money to buy "Edet goes to school"but our trap had caught no meat and we'd promised baba Afusa we would get him a big grasscutter this time, only to found out our trap had waited for us empty. Painful part is the bait- palm kernel we placed on it had disappeared. What! We exclaimed. Looking up a cocoa tree we discovered a squirrel had removed it. Squirrel was the most difficult mammal for us to catch.
