My favourite thing is the diversity of its territory: from amazing beaches to snowcapped mountains! :)

I am living in the Philippines wherein poverty is still a serious problem. Even though unemployment rate is high, I believe the new President Rodrigo Duterte is persistently taking action to eradicate it, which I think why the rate is slowly decreasing. What I like about this country, especially the Filipino citizens, is that no matter how hard life is, no matter how frustrating the transportation system is, no matter how unsatisfactory the government services are, no matter how poor we can get, HOPE still dwells in us and we still manage to tattoo a smile on our face. The hope that this country will soon improve, the hope that everything will be in its right place in a matter of time, the hope that everyone gets a job and a higher salary we deserve, the hope that every Filipino will be able to eat at least three times a day, these are the reasons why we keep going. These are the main basis why we extend a helping hand to one another, so as to spread love and uplift the hope of those who are barely holding on. I live for the day to see and experience a better Philippines someday.

The thing I like the most in my country is the "food"

What is your country?

Nigeria...

I think Nigeria, right? I'll have to try that food someday hehe thanks for joining!

Thanks for the clarification ;)

Nigerian foods are the best..

This question actually got me thinking.
I haven't really sat to think about what I love about my country but this contest just got me thinking...
I think what I like about my country is the Unity, despite the diversity in tribes.

My favorite thing in our country is our government, because we already feel the rise in our economy compared to previous years. Problems were meant to be solved already thanks to our President Rodrigo Duterte. We salute you sir!

Cool! I hope your government is not as corrupt as mine haha! Thanks for joining ;)

what's your country?

Vivo cerca del Amazonas.

lol I second that statement.

That's true...I heard drugs and crime are down in the Philippines.

There are so many things wrong with my country - Israel. There also quite a few good things. But, one of the things that has brought Israel grief but also makes it so great is...its size. Israel is a very small country, about the size of Connecticut. Yet, it has very diverse cultures, landscapes, and food all within a few hours drive.

You can start your day up in the lush northern valleys, enjoying great food and rustic atmosphere. Then, drive down to Tel Aviv's bustling metropolis and fabulous beaches for a night out on the town.

Jerusalem, with all its history is just 45 minutes drive away, and the Dead Sea is another 30 minutes from there.

Finally, the Negev desert and Eilat offer expansive and desolate views with some of the best diving locations in the world.

So yeah, I like that I can do all that in a a day (or two)

Now I want to visit Israel

Come on!

I really have to visit Israel! I have many israeli friends which I met in my travels! must go! Thanks for joining the game :)

Absolutely. There's plenty of us here on Steem too. You won't be w/out friends

Israel is on my bucket list of places to visit for sure. I've heard so many amazing things from friends that have gone.

Always gr8 to hear!

I am from the Philippines and I love how hospitable the Filipinos are. You should visit our country to experience this yourself. People are nice and welcoming and will even treat you as family. 🇵🇭❤

Hi @wander-full I actually visited Philippines some time ago and spent 2 months in your country! My cover picture is in Camiguín island actually :) it's incredible I really want to go back. Everybody treated me soooo well! thanks for joining the contest!

Oh yeah? Yes, you should definitely go back! There's still a lot more to explore and see. We have more than 7,000 islands! haha.

I know!! I visited Batad, Manila, Bohol, Malapascua, Camiguin, Cebu and Palawan so yes, many still to go :)

Next time, visit Batanes, Dumaguete, Siquijor, Siargao, Romblon, Masbate. There's so much more to see, really. If you go to one island a day, it'll take around 20 years to see the entire country. So you wont run out of places to see if you visit again.

My Country My Country. My birth country which is on the west coast of Africa is popular for many things, From agriculture to oil to perfect tropical weather and amazing beaches. Nigeria is a place to visit!
however what I love most about this country are its people, a multicultural nation filled with talent and hard workers!

Despite our failing economy and corrupt leaders our people still come out on top. I am a Proud Nigerian and proud of my culture and heritage

I have barely visited Africa, besides Morocco and Tunisia! I would love to go down south :) Is it good for backpack travellers over there? Thanks for joining my contest!

Yes, and very Interesting too. Lagos is insane ! on the island there are plenty of markets and mayhem to explore as a traveler, you can also head east and explore the wonderful landscape of Obudu or visit Anambra to find out why Nigerians are the biggest traders in Africa.

What I like most about Nigeria is the unity we have in spite of the diversity.
There are more than 200 ethnic groups in Nigeria but we still find a way to remain together. We remain united in our diversity.
Nigeria is also blesses with a lot of natural and mineral resources.

That's amazing You have fellow compatriots in the post :) actually many people from Nigeria into steemit right? I was wondering about the conditions for backpacking in your country, is it fine? Thanks for joining my contest! :)

I`m not an alcoholic or a drunk, but I really appreciate the liberal drinking laws in Germany as compared to the US. I'm already looking forward to my first summer as a Berliner when I can have a Corona (on of the things I love about Mexico) here in the park!

you should sometime come to Spain as well, I think we have some cheaper prices on drinks ;) and a lot of sun as well! But yes, beer is cheap in Berlin, I was there on NYE and I loved it!

I would love to come back to Spain sometime and I could really need some sun right now (luckily, I got some vitamine d here for the winter...), but I'm too busy right now for even a short vavation :( Do you live in Andalucia?

i live in Barcelona! The best months to come here are may and june for sure! then its too hot!

The best months to visit Berlin are June, Juli, August and maybe October. You don't want to come here during wintere :)

Germany has the best beer! Hands down. Cant wait to visit some time.

Yes, brewing beer has a long tradition here... If you come visit, I recommend Berlin, Hamburg, Heidelberg among others.

All places my brother listed for me as well. He wants me to go with him the next time he goes. Hopefully I can make the time.

Just pick a nice month of the year. Right now it's really cold and grey here :(

What I like the most about my country is that they speak spanish.

i loved Baños an Chimborazo areas ;)

Yes, those places are great!

de que parte de Ecuador eres?

That's an easy one: Belgian chocolate :0)

Omg i love chocolate!

So being from America there is a lot I love and not so much love about my homeland....

... I can definitely tell you I am a patriot and I love my country.
The #1 thing I love most about my country is the document in which it is founded on.

The Declaration of Independence

Its a beautiful crafted piece of literature. A document that began a movement still shaping our world to this day. If you havent yet, read it. It is truely amazing.

There's a big Independence movement here in Catalonia as well lately so I'll read it as I never read it before although I know pretty well the history ;) thanks again!

What I love about my country is we have some of the best roads to drive in the World, especially on my doorstep with the Lake District National Park in the UK, as well as Snaefell in the Isle of Man.

I note it down, just google it and found amazing photos :) someday i'll pay a visit to your doorsteep! thanks!

what i like most about my country is the mentality "every which way but loose".
Proudly Naija 4 Life !!!!!

thanks for joining the contest! i'm glad you are proud of your country! :)

My favourite things in India is

Equality: Other countries may need leaders or something; here we’re all equal. We don’t have any leader in the entire country. It seems some supernatural power is running our country. Even the people at the topmost positions don’t have any role in managing the country’s affairs. They simply come in their offices in the morning and go back in the evening. So all are equal – from a peon to a PM.

I was not aware of this fact. I really like the sound of it.

That's interesting! Thanks for joining!

Ur welcome ,i need one help from you

The thing I like most about my country (England) is the weather. A lot of people complain about it raining a lot but I love the rain, especially if I am out for a jog, there is nothing quite like it.

And we do get the occasional heatwave now and then, which is just enough. I think if it was hot all the time then I'd move away.

I love England! All the countrysides and coastline. The deep-rooted history. I can't wait to experience it all when I come to visit.

Yes it has some amazing coastlines! When are you visiting?

No solid plans yet but it's on the list.

If you like rain, then you live in such a perfect place ;) just kidding! I love how green your country is! thanks for joining!

if you put me to choose one favourity thing from my Country i whould say its a hard decision but one thing it's sure. .Romania it's a place made from gods. From amazing landscapes, to beautiful cities and kind people , Romania it's a place that you can't miss to visit.

I come from Ghana. the thing i like about my country is our hospitality. Ghanaians have the most awesome attitude towards foreigners which amazes me

I live in Sri Lanka and I really love Kandyan Dancing.
