- I rely on Google to handle my passwords. It would be a red flag that you might be on a phishing site if you were asked to enter your password...
- I did recently run into a bit of a problem trying to use a hotel computer. They didn't have chrome, so I was stuck to using my smartphone...
Facebook is notorious for such phishers... I remember seeing one where I clicked on the link and it was asking me to log in again - red flag!
I don't mind being a bit of a guinea pig on those because I have a good sense of where the danger points really are. But people are blissfully unaware of how much junk they are picking up! I cleaned up a laptop last summer which had a staggering number of infections on it. My husband regularly salvages old computers from the dump and the story is usually the same... :p
