From the diary of Captain Jon Gon, 1654

This place was as wild as it gets! No sign of any humans so far just an amazing amount of birds and trees. A paradise on earth! Here comes the time that we had to leave to report to the Queen what we discovered. I noted down all the different fruits and wildlife as many as I possibly could, I even brought aboard some sample of these exotic fruits ...so colorful and tasty I forgot my mission for a moment..."ALL ABOARD?!" I shouted as we were getting ready for the big return journey..."YES, CAPTAIN!!" replied Jack... from the distance I could spot a turtle swimming her way to land. Already I couldn't wait to return to this beautiful place. "FOREMAST!!" ...as the big air sails came crashing down from the skies an impetuous wind suddenly blew off the ship to sail...maybe I shouldn't have gave the orders to depart from that mysterious coast at that moment...it was all calm and quiet, I don't know from where it came or how..."WE WILL CRASH!" I shouted desperately as the ship gained speed towards the rocky shores..."TURN AROUND!!"..I proceeded knowing that It was impossible to reverse that fatal coarse.." ANCHOR THE SHIP NOW FOR GOD'S!!" ... and then suddenly just like it came...it went away...our heads bumped forward as the ship took a dip in the salty waters bringing it to a halt ...we could have been stuck here! even though I was wishing to stay, we couldn't have lasted a few weeks!...Maybe that wind was my wild will to stay... maybe not...I sat there for a moment meditating on what trouble I could have faced ..."CAPTAIN?!" ...I looked up almost confused and there was Jack waiting for me to say something...I shook myself and after I saw the horizon in front of me, looked at Jack straight in the eyes and said: "Sail!"...As we slowly gained wind speed I looked back at that place with the crazy birds flying all over it making the strangest noises...I tried to relocate that turtle but nowhere to be found...I guess she was already "home"...

"Once upon a time part 2" - Resteemed

image

Once upon a time, the thunder thundered like a waking mythical serpent. As the water stirred and the ship shook fiercely like a kite on a string. I observed defenselessly as the fragment estimated break in the pole developed until the point that I was certain it would snap. The group on deck floundered and attempted to move in the thigh profound water to attempt and keep the ship above water and the sails from fluttering. I shout with sickening apprehension as the young fellow, no more seasoned than sixteen escaped into the awful ocean. The waves surged into the ship harder and speedier than some time recently. The ship was getting hauled out to ocean in a tear like a pooch on a chain. Exactly when it appeared we would all get out alive, the pole snapped into equal parts sticking three men to the ground. The men on board were extremely pessismistic about their possibility of survival. A portion of the minimum faithful group individuals bounced off the ship and arrived with a small sprinkle in the water. When they began swimming they were instantly sucked under by an irregular power. The vessel was thrashed around like a ragdoll for a long time and evenings. At the point when the tempest at last facilitated there were just twelve survivors.

The End.

Nice story.

Pakistani warships
Once upon a time the warship anchored in the city of Lhokseumawe, when I went to the beach I was very surprised to see it. What is this? why a warship could be anchored to a city that has nothing to do with a military base. I thought this would be a major disaster, how not at that time Aceh Province had just been hit by armed conflict between the government and the rebels.

I was very small then, still not understanding what exactly the purpose and purpose of a navy warship was near a city. At that time I was still around 15 or 16 years old and still sitting in junior high school. Of course it was a huge fear for the children of that age when looking at a ship equipped with a very large arsenal.

I can not imagine if two bullets were fired into the occupied city it would all be flattened to the ground, especially then everyone was still traumatized by the bloody conflict that had plagued thousands of lives over the years. Which when it was just agreed peace between the government and the rebels to end the prolonged conflict.

The next day I went to the market to help my parents to sell there, after half a day I sat guarded I was surprised by the arrival of strangers strapping and wearing a light blue uniform. Apparently they are the crew of the warships that are docked there, but among them no one to take any weapons, just walking around enjoying the city atmosphere alone.

Then there are some people stop by to where my parents sell. They started bargaining some prices of goods there by using arabic and english language. Instantly my father was so shocked, because he did not understand at all with the language they speak. But no loss of reason, my father began to speak using sign language and took a calculator to show the price of the items they were asking.

Very funny when I remember it, how they transact with only a mute language and a calculator. It turns out they are a pakistan navy anchored for a moment, even now I do not know their intentions and goals anchored there.

It turns out that the thing I feared yesterday even became a blessing for my family, because with the arrival of their parent's merchandise I became a bestseller. That's the story of my experience with a ship, it's unexpected.

Thank you for the contest @xpilar

It's interesting

HISTORY OF PORTUGUESE VESSELS IN KUANTAN KING BIREUEN

The expedition was launched after the sending of an ambassador by Sultan Alauddin al-Qohhar (1539-1571) to Suleiman the Great in 1564, and possibly as early as 1562, requested Turkish support of the Portuguese.

The Ottoman-Ottoman Turks unofficially had been around since the 1530s. Sultan Alauddin al-Qohhar was eager to develop that relationship, to try to expel the Portuguese from Malacca, and expand his power in Sumatra. According to Fernão Mendes Pinto, the Sultan of Aceh recruited 300 Ottoman soldiers, some Abyssinians and Gujaratis, and 200 Malabar merchants to conquer Tano Batak in 1539.

After 1562, Aceh appears to have received Turkish aid that allowed it to conquer the Kingdom of Aru and Johor in 1564.
The sending of the ambassador to Istanbul in 1564 was carried out by Sultan Husain Ali Riayat Syah. In his letter to Porte Usmaniyah, the Sultan of Aceh calls the Ottoman ruler as the Kholifah (ruler) of Islam.

After the death of Suleiman in 1566, his Selim II flag ordered the fleet to be deployed to Aceh. A number of soldiers, gunmen, and engineers were transported by the fleet, along with an abundant supply of weapons and ammunition. The first fleet consisted of 15 kitchens equipped with artillery, but was diverted to quell the uprising in Yemen. Finally, only 2 boats arrived between 1566-1567, but a number of other fleets and ships followed. The expedition was led by Kurdoglu Hizir Reis. The Acehnese pay the ship with pearls, diamonds and rubies. In 1568, Aceh attacked Malacca, although Turkey did not appear to participate directly.

The Ottoman taught Aceh how to make cannon, which in the end was widely produced. From the early seventeenth century, Aceh could boast of medium-sized bronze cannons, and about 800 other weapons such as rifle and arquebus swivel rifles. Ottoman Turkish fleet in the Indian Ocean in the 16th century.

The expedition led to the development of exchanges between the Sultanate of Aceh and Ottoman Turks in the military, trade, cultural and religious fields. The next ruler of Aceh continued the exchange with the Ottoman Ottoman Caliphate, and Acehnese ships were allowed to fly the Ottoman flag.

The relationship between the Sultanate of Aceh and the Ottoman Empire became a major threat to the Portuguese and prevented them from establishing monopolistic trading positions in the Indian Ocean. Aceh is a major Portuguese trading rival, possibly controlling more spice trade than Portugal, and the Portuguese is trying to destroy the Aceh-Turkish-Venetian trade axis for its own profit. Portuguese plans to attack the Red Sea and Aceh, but fail because of the lack of manpower in the Indian Ocean.

When attacked by the Dutch in 1873, Aceh sought refuge with its earlier acquiescence with the Ottoman Sultanate as one of its dependencies, but the claim was rejected by Western authorities fearing that past events were repeated. The fleet prepared to help Aceh itself was eventually switched to overthrow the Zaidiyah insurgency in Yemen.

"Once upon the time"A small ship sank some years ago, many lives where lost where among those that dead are newly wedded couple, student and bussiness women and men were statistically recorded to have be dead. One father was the one who suppose to go with the small ship but on his way to port from the hotel he lodge he was strucked in a terrible traffic he got late to port and a women with newly born baby took her place having been submitted all traveling necessary documents the man was so angrily he went to complaint before return small ship has started moving, few hour later the ship which the man boarded saw the small ship afar but before they know it the small ship began to sink It was an emotional moment for families who are still looking for their missing loveone and a step toward closing one of the most traumatic scence.

The accident was very serious the ship went under while peoples trapped inside sent text messages asking for help that never came or saying goodbye to their families but its too late for them.

The fairly tale of the saddest incident was the newly born baby; swimmers , rescuer and divers underwater search of the ship but none bodies were recovered alive they are dead except the newly born baby of that women who took place of that man was recovered alive others has drowned, story had that this newly baby was floating on the surface of water till divers recovered and took him.

blue i see the sea water,
choppy waves on the beach,
big boats are sailing,
wading through the vast ocean..

I tried to sit on the beach..
breathe in the cool air that blows..
looking right into the boat..
which is swayed by the waves..
when I was pensive ..
want me to go sail ..
surround the beautiful ocean .. that I have never seen so far ..

The History of Aceh Maritime

A Green Country with a Beautiful City and a Great Harbor
This quote is a record of the journey of a traveler named Ibn Battuta in the 14th century AD, at that time stop in Pasai, the sultanate of Aceh region who have embraced Islam. Ibn Battuta also has a sight about how their life and life in the country.

In that note, Ibn Battuta reached the Pasai coast after traveling for 25 days from India. Upon arrival at the harbor, the local people have welcomed them warmly. They brought some coconuts, bananas, mangoes, and fish, to be exchanged with other goods brought by the merchants who stopped by.

According to Ibn Battuta, the representatives of the sultanate commander also went to his entourage. The official inquired about the purpose of their arrival. After that, the entourage was allowed to land on the beach.

He also explained the sultan Pasai, Al-Malik Az-Zahir, was very friendly. He even lent his horse to the outsider and others. In his note, he also served the outsiders with the beautiful and comfortable wooden house for the entourage in his large and beautiful city.

In short, Aceh was a great port city, with the development of the economy, as well as the fisherman activity in fishing in the middle of the ocean.

The Fishermen's Life in the Past

The land area of Aceh is 57,365.67 square kilometers. It surrounded by the Ocean of Indonesia in the West-South region of Aceh. The Malacca Strait and the Andaman ocean in the North-East Aceh region, with a coastline length of 2,666,27 kilometers. While the area of water reaches 295,370 square kilometers.

The archipelago's ancestor left various untouched records of valuable experience in the sea, the Acehnese since the old times until now famous with the spirit of marine. The capability of fisherman in sailing around the ocean was very great. It can't be denied that their acknowledgment about sea and marine that was really undeniable. The fisherman's finesse in sailing the oceans has tremendous toughness. This can't be denied because they were familiar with the marine knowledge system.

good

Thank you for your good story and info @seaworld

hi @xpilar...!!!This time I want to tell you about a ship, as shown in the picture above and explain according to my own imagination for this competition "Once upon a time part 2"

Sailboats are a type of marine vessel that has a ship's screen. This ship is driven by wind power. This screen serves to catch the wind blowing on the boat. In traditional sailing ships, sailing is highly dependent on the impulse of the wind captured by a triangle-shaped screen. The shape of this screen can be triangular or rectangular, but traditional boats are generally triangular in shape. This screen is able to form a sandeq up to 60 knots. This screen is usually paired on different types of ships. The materials used to make sailboats in the past generally used logs, bamboo or papyrus as used by the ancient Egyptians, then used metal materials such as iron because of the human need for a strong ship.

The small vessel used for trading, latent, rigged use is then converted into square steamers, which are typically used by Portuguese sailors and Spayol for exploration, about 80 feet tall, and in its development are then added to other small screen pillars. crew about 10-25 org ..

Prior to the invention of the steam engine in the 19th century, sailboats were the only means of marine transportation for military and civilian purposes. But after that time, the sailboat began to be abandoned in line with the Industrial Revolution initiated by the British state through the invention of the steam engine by James Watt. Since the Industrial Revolution, the development of steam engines and iron / steel processing has increased considerably. This led to an increase in the number of motors and little by little the use of sailboats began to decrease.

Nice story about science buddy.

Thank you for sharing very good info @ munawar1

thanks @xpilar has organized a very nice contest. and let me @curiesea follow it..
May the sea remain calm, without waves or big storms, so fishermen can make a living in the blue ocean, so the ship can sail sailing goods.

Fishing ships move at dusk ends, while living in a faint halogen city, starting from the sensation of desire that culminates in shaking the nadir. The life race stretched the boundaries of time from the four directions of the wind. Each in his own mind the best time to say "Let's finish this mission immediately because our family is waiting for the fish we catch .. .." Beach ....
You are where I spread my business
Place of sailing ship
Coral reefs complement your beauty

Your water is carried by the waves into the sea
Your wave asked me to sail
Your coral reef ...
Be a shelter for fish

The wind blows hard
Soothing the hearts of fishermen
Beach....
You are a fisherman's paradise.

Thanks for sharing buddy.

nice poesy

Thank you for the histrois you share with us and great pictures and great pictures @curiesea

Strait of Malacca in Aceh

Strait of Malacca, a water area located between two countries, Indonesia and Malaysia which is now the hull of the world economic shipping. History has noted that this area has been one of the international shipping centers since long time ago, long before Indonesia was unified into one country. Physically, the Strait of Malacca is a dividing waters area that has separated Indonesia and Malaysia. Since the beginning of this region has become a prima donna because of its very strategic location, which is an international area where the merchant meetings that will continue or make the voyage of commerce. Since the 6th century range, the name of Malacca has been very grand as an important port area in the world, it has encouraged the rapid growth of this trading port into an international vessel of nadi since the range of the 6th century until now. Since the fourth century, the Strait of Malacca has been well known by the outside world, this is inseparable from transactions that occur through the Malacca Strait, especially after the merchants from the European region also began to recognize and conduct commercial transactions in the Strait of Malacca, this caused by a condition where in 1453 Ottoman Ottoman Turks led by Sultan Muhammad II succeeded in conquering Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine-Roman Empire (East Rome). Since that time, the center of economic development and politics of the 14th century until the beginning of the fifteenth century was in the hands of the Ottoman Empire which soon dominated the strategic areas originally controlled by Europeans, especially Roman-Byzantine.

Once upon the time (Part 2)

Mia look at your beautiful designed pic I could see the sky blue, Big ship and small size ship plus the blue ocean, I will compose from your picture.

Quietly skimmed off the water, no one bothered to wonder where it had disappeared to and the wind, unknown tyrant, whistled and ambled aimlessly down the grassy knolls
In its absence, skies turned a startling iridescent blue coagulating with pallid grey
and leaves so thin and transparent in the light, trembled ever so slightly - until an odd ripple effect mercilessly shook entire branches, birthing simple pattern reflections

And yet - When lettering in the sand curled up, against to reveal buried secrets Why, the past was blown away like nothing at all off significance.

And memories, will someday disintegrate into nothingness.

Admire the beauty of the blue sky, beauty of nature came out and everything become nice environment.

Help the little to grow up like @xpilar doing, the little are about sink/drowned they need your help, support them and feel free.

Festival Of Tihar where people worship dogs.

Just few days ago, Kukur Tihar, the festival of dogs was celebrated at every household and street to mark the second day of Tihar Festival.

Tihar is the second biggest festival of Hindus people in Nepal.

Dogs, as well known for truth-worthy and loyal animal to human from ancient time, are worshiped once a year on this day.

People usually worship their Pet dogs as well as street dogs with Tika and Garland then offer delicious food on this day.

People also honor dogs as they believe that the dog can guarantee the souls of the dead people to get to heaven. The dog plays an important role as "the gatekeeper of death", which is said to lead the deceased across the river of death in the underworld.

Nepalese policemen present beautiful garlands to their patrol dogs and paint their foreheads in red cinnabar to thank for their contributions in social security.

Nice dogs.

Thank you for great pictures and info @steemnepal

I should thank you, you provided the platform here :). I don't get anything posting on my wall, lol.

These photo is my documentation six years ago, located on the beach "Ujong Blang" a coastal tourist attraction in the city of Lhokseumawe Aceh-Indonesia. This beach is always crowded by citizens from various regions, especially on big holidays such as Idul Fitri holidays, school holidays, holiday even the beach was never quiet from the visitors. At 06.30 am me and my friends have arrived at this beach, deliberately we leave early in the morning so we can enjoy the beautiful scenery at sunrise easterned.

after swimming and playing on the beach, now comes its time we see the effort of the fishermen who had been upstream-hilir pulled fishing nets.

102.jpg

107.jpg

As fishing nets become visible on the surface of the sea, visitors to this attraction are getting crowded who come to see the catches of these fishermen, making it very difficult to capture images in the middle of the crowd, because if the camera is not careful falling and falling into the water

The province of Aceh-Indonesia has its own culture in managing marine management, such as the occurrence of sea handlers and sea festivals held annually. and I myself have worked with non-governmental organizations that form a community called a friend of the sea (SALUT).

this community is very concerned with the cleanliness of all coastal areas in Aceh. keep the mangrove forest in each beach lips, in order to save the existing ecosystem inside.

That story about the sea from me, and a glimpse of a story when I was a friend of the community joined in the ocean Aceh

I have visited Ujong Blang beach for several times, I like the beach.

PIRAT Tale

One pirate served as a boatswain on the ship. And dashing sailors were very respected for the fact that he lost one of his eyes in battle, and the other saved unharmed.
On the birthday of the boatswain, the team decided to buy a gift.
"Give us the binoculars!"
But together thinking, the team realized that the binoculars did not need anything to it, and gave them a large telescope. Looking at that, still one eye must be closed.
A gift to the boatswain was very much like.
And he always wore his telescope behind his right ear.

Happy summer with bright colors all around!
When we went to the seaside, there was no limit to the joy.
We enjoyed the swimming, the mountains, the beach covered with smooth pebbles on rocky sea coast, the bright blue sky.
Splashes of waves, cries of seagull...
How happy we were!

And the healing sea air gave us much energy.
We never got tired. How energetic we were!
Sometimes it seemed to us, that we would fly together with seagulls )

Relaxed.

Very nice :)
