Contest Kings is a project that promotes high quality giveaways on the steem blockchain that contain a "No Follow, No Re-Steem, and No Upvote required" eligibility criteria for participants.
This page is a partnership between three members of the community including @o07 from Australia and @dkid14 & @shoemanchu from the United States.
As part of eligibility authors will also need to have a guaranteed prize on offer for the winner.
Example of things that fall into this category could be but not limited to: Liquid Steem, SBD, Steem Power Delegation, SBI Shares, Steem Monster cards, Physical Gifts.
Things that will not be accepted: Free Resteem, Post Promotion, and Percentage of post payout.
We want the "White List" to be full of different communities including: Steem Monsters, Cooking, Photography, Art or Drawing, Sports, Comedy, Music, Gaming.

Firstly I would thank @ned and the team for bringing us Steemit and that regardless of what people say he is doing a good job and that yes mistakes have been made but he should learn from them and have a open mind but not let others cloud he's own judgement.
Get feedback from people and improve continuously. Look for the people here who can help you make it better.
Advice? Don't mess up.
The biggest thing I think he is missing is not harnessing the power of the community. There are some brilliant minds here and many talented people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help. He should use them.
Humility, continuous improvement and the pursuit of perfection.
Let users on Steemit can know more information in such a bearish market.
Work on community empowerment rather than your own brand. The community is the only thing that can bring the chain to the next level. Whatever that may be.

I would advise you not to despair, and listen to the community that is keeping this platform alive, listen to the proposals they have for Steemit and try to gather opinions and implement them, crises are always full of opportunities, do not waste it!
Promote the platform a bit more and be more transparent about future updates and hard forks
I'm pretty sure they hear this quite often but the interface could be improved a bit! In so many directions, bet let's start with... A nice page with statistics, a better inline text editor, we don't need to be Markdown Styling gurus to post beautifully shaped posts. And a completely black (night) theme would be a blessing for the computer heads as myself, LOL :)

Don't despair, Steem moves forward and doesn't stop, just listen to the community.
One of the things that Steemit must improve is to expand CR to give more participation to users and encourage more transactions between communities.

Onboarding users and for new users finding feet here is almost impossible
I think Steemit.com was necessary in the begining but not so much now. I think they did try to do too much too soon and set a precedent they would never be able to fulfil. Steemit Inc need to double down and focus on improving the blockchain while finding more ways of generating revenue for sustainablity and growth.
As they improve the ecosystem they should rather focus on brining in more dApp provides into the system to handle the community and build their own sustainable businesses on steem.
The less steemit inc has to do with the community the better! The community along with dapp providers will be the ones forming the marketing arm of what steem will eventually become.
If they do it correcly they can reduce relaince on steemit as a front end as people migrate to dapps and they can reduce backlash as SMT's allow for new economic models. Focus on the tech guys,thats what you're good at. leave the rest to the dapps and the community. lets get more decentralised
