Ingredients
½ chicken (400 gm) – cut into 8 pieces
MARINADE
½ cup thick yogurt (dahi) – hang for 30 minutes
8-10 almonds – ground to a powder
1 tbsp ginger – garlic paste, 1 tbsp oil
½ tsp red chilli powder, ¾ tsp salt
½ tsp garam masala powder
OTHER INGREDIENTS
3 tbsp oil, ½ tsp peppercorns
2 onions – ground to a paste
1 tsp ground coriander (dhania) powder
Method
- Marinate chicken in the marinade ingredients for 30 minutes.
- Put oil, peppercorns, dhania powder and onion paste in a micro proof dish. Mix well and microwave for 5 minutes.
- Add the chicken along with marinade and mix well. Microwave uncovered for 5 minutes. Mix well.
- Add ¾ cup water and ½ tsp salt. Microwave uncovered for 4 minutes or till it boils. Let it stand for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle some crushed peppercorns and serve hot.
