Hey there, bit about me, I'm 11 years old and I reeeeeeally love baking. So today I thought I'd share my chocolate brownie recipe with you all. its quick and easy - anyone can make it!
Firstly, make sure you have what you need:-
110g butter
200g caster sugar
2 eggs
60g self raising flour
60g coco powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
60g chocolate chips, plus extra for sprinkling
Now, lets get making!
1) Firstly, pre-heat the oven to 180c or gas mark 4
2) Grease and flour/line a 20cm square tin
3) In a bowl, mix together the butter and sugar. Then add the eggs and mix well.
4) Combine the flour, coco and salt, and then stir into the butter/sugar mixture. Mix in the vanilla extract and stir in the chocolate chips.
5) When completely mixed, pour into the prepared tin and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the top.
6) Bake for 25-30 minutes. To check if its done, simply pop a knife into the middle - if it comes out clean, then its done. I like to leave it in for a few more minutes so that the top becomes a little firmer.
7) Leave to cool before cutting into pieces. Now, if desired, you can give it a little dusting with some icing sugar.
Great served warm with ice cream or custard!
Tip: You can use any chocolate chips, for this one I used a mix of milk and white chocolate ones. You could also add other things like nuts or fudge pieces. Experiment, and make it your own!
I'll give you my upvote.
