I had been looking for a decent compact cook set that lives somewhere in between regular household kitchen items and camping. I do need to stay as compact as possible when travelling and I really don't want to overdo it. I have overpacked more times in this life than I care to remember. I remember taking the better part of a photo studio on holidays with me including compact umbrella stands.
One of the best parts of having my storage container is that I can travel with much less stuff and if I am really, truly missing something that I want I can simply go and dig it out of storage. But I had better really want it because as I said, my travel space will be very limited.
This cook set is medium to high quality depending on which item you are holding. The fry pan is one of the stars of the show with its thick, heat distributing bottom. It's really amazing for what it is. I'm using this set more and more as I get ready to travel.
Do you have any compact or travel cooking gear that you really love? I'd love to see it!

That does look like a solid one.
I always found the bottom heat plates are too thin or the wrong material and heated too hot too fast over the open camping flames. Why they couldn’t make them smaller and fit together and just add a few more millimetres of bottom was beyond me.
I usually have some water boiling pots and just strap a real frying pan to the gear!

The included fry pan is actually really good Zeke. The problem with making the stainless thicker is it doesn't address the problem that is inherent to stainless steel, it basically has no heat dispersion properties. That's why they need to layer it with another metal like copper or aluminium to allow for even heating.
Stainless on its own simply creates unmanageable hotspots wherever the flame/heat is applied. This is definitely not a set you would backpack with! Much too heavy and bulky for that.
I have a Stanley growler. They make great products.
