2 teaspoons salt
1 1/3 cups lukewarm water
filling:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown suger
1-2 tablespoons cinnamon (to taste)
sultanas, raisins, or diced apple all work
method:
in a large bowl mix the dry ingredients together and form a well in the centre to pour the lukewarm water, using a woden spoon and work until it combines and pulls away from the bowl.
knead on a lightly floured surface for 10-15 mins until it becomes smooth and glossy,
oil slightly with meltered butter and cover in the bowl and alllow to raise for 40-50 mins or until its around twice the size, puch it down and knead it for a couple mins, roll out, largerthickness will give larger rolls i rolled this amount to around 30cm wide and 60cm long. spreading the melted butter out with the suger sprinkle with the cinnamon and fruits or walnuts if desired and roll up and pinch at the end, cut rolls off as 2cm clices and place in a greased/lined tray.
allow to raise coveres until doubled, brush with butter
