This kind of thing has been happening in Berlin and other cities for quite a while. It will take a while, but soon other law firms will wise up and offer "counter-letters" meaning that instead of paying "Hedman Partners" you can pay the other lawfirms €200-500 to draft up an official sounding document that states all the things you mentioned in legal jargon. In Germany this letter gets you off the hook. Ironically law firms have been known to send out both types of letters, against other law firms, to really build up a network, a real Mafia, bouncing torrenters between them. I think really the best thing people can do is actually go to court, and use up the law firms resources and time.
Maybe figure out what the Finnish equivalent of "writing to your congressman" is. I feel like in Europe, we don't get very good political representation for subjects like this. No one cares until they can win some votes.
Thanks as well for a long, original article. I'm looking forward to more.
