After days of intense rain, today, finally, the sun decided it was OK to shine on us. The farm is still basically a mud festival, but at least there are sections of the walkways that won't eat up your shoes.
I've not been to my shop since Saturday, which is terrible in so many ways. I knew I needed to get there today, because for sure the dehumidifiers needed emptying and cleaning.
On my way there I discovered the path not only overgrown, but completely blocked by two trees that had fallen right on the path. The soil is basically clay, and these trees were simply too heavy to stay upright.
After walking back to our storage unit, I sharpened a machete and got to work on the path.
The shop looks good, aside from a little leak in a corner of the roof that I'm sure I can fix myself with a sealant.
I hope we've seen the last of these intense rains, because I would really like to get back to finishing these guitars.
Cheers my friends

A machete certainly makes a man feel like a man! 💪🏼
never leave home without it
My god man, you actually do need a machete to get through!
Farm life is the best!
That's quite a commute. Hope you can get back to work now.
One day, when there's a little money set aside, I would love to improve the roads to the shop. So that these types of things don't happen, but for now, machete is the way.
Man I hope your shoes survived the mud And hey, at least you got a solid machete workout 😁
Holy heaven, that place looks like a jungle 😆
You sure need to face some challenges on your way to work 🫣
it is a jungle, hence why I love it.... just gotta watchout for snakes.
Ewww, I hate snakes! We don't have many in my country and those are not venomous so I'm not used to them.
