Tighten up all entries from coronavirus hit areas to Vietnam

While there are more and more countries report outbreaks in Covid-19, Vietnam has announced to tighten up all the entries from the areas that have experienced coronavirus hit recently.

In particular, the Vietnamese Prime Minister has announced that there is no person that comes from those territories can enter Vietnam directly. According to that order, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs applied a new policy that tightening up the entries from South Korea, Japan, Italy, Iran, and other countries that have reported cases of Covid-19 caused by the novel coronavirus.

Furthermore, the government requests those who have to enter Vietnam for state affairs or exclusive matters have to follow the nation’s heath declaration procedure. They have to follow the procedure of quarantine for 14 days under the strict observation from the local medical department.

Those who from other areas that are currently free from epidemic also have to submit a health declaration and follow further necessary procedures when entering Vietnam.

To those who are Vietnamese citizens and from China’s epidemic hit areas, the policies are still the same as the past month. They can come home but only if they use the international border gates and have to follow all quarantine procedures for two weeks.

These days, South Korea is making headlines internationally when the spreading speed of Covid-19 in this country has been terrible. Until Feb 27th, South Korea reported 1,600 infected cases. They are now in the second position after China and followed by Italy, Japan, and Iran. There are 49 countries report infected cases. Among 82,165 infected cases, there are 2,801 death reported and 32,872 recovered cases around the world. Vietnam has not reported any newly infected cases these weeks. However, the number of suspected cases still increases.
