I do not suffer fools gladly ... so HardFork 21 broke me. It was only the February 14 launch (much delayed) of Voice Beta (in the U.S.), and the parallel announcement on the same day of Justin Sun buying out Ned Scott, that pulled me back in. That, the aforementioned email morass and an unexpected medical issue conspired to silence Poor Ol' Quill.
Regarding the tutoring, you've been thrown in at the deep end of the pool. Full immersion. Baptism by fire. I suggest you invest in a light sabre because, as you'll quickly discover, your children are actually Sith Lords. Respecting 10th grade chemistry (to say nothing of math), let me introduce you to perhaps the most valuable invention in the history of humanity:

Sal Khan is one of the most gifted "natural teachers" you'll ever encounter and the site covers a tremendous number of subjects (the focus is on K-12 math but there's lots of science in there as well, including chemistry). You will save yourself a great deal of grief and aggravation by making yourself intimately familiar with the site.
