The Hubei Province Health Commission, China, reported the death toll from the corona virus increased by 242 people. That way, the total deaths from the virus in Hubei Province as of Wednesday (12/2) reached 1,310 people.
Reporting from Reuters, new cases recorded in the province yesterday were only 2,015 cases. However, new cases detected in Hubei, the center of the spread of the corona virus, today increased sharply to reach 14,840 cases.
That's because the Hubei Provincial Health Commission said it had used a computerized tomography (CT) tool scans began diagnosing corona virus cases with new methods. So the hospital can immediately detect patients infected with the virus.
On the other hand, the Chinese government is testing a new antivirus by combining drugs commonly used for HIV. The results of the trial will come out in the next week. That brings hope that experts can find the most effective treatment for corona virus.

WHO Calls on Extreme Alert Society
Even so, the World Health Organization (WHO) calls the spread of the corona virus like terrorism. WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that although the spread of the virus called COVID-19 was slowing, people had to remain in a state of extreme vigilance.
"This outbreak is likely to continue in all directions," Ghebreyesus was quoted as saying by Reuters.
Health experts say the corona virus outbreak may have peaked in China, but not elsewhere. "This has spread to other places where the outbreak originated. In Singapore it has just begun," said Dale Fisher's Head of Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network.
The number of cases infected in Singapore has now reached 50 cases. The latest case on Wednesday (12/2) was discovered at the headquarters of the Singapore DBS bank which caused local authorities to immediately evacuate the workers there. While the number of deaths from the corona virus outside of China reached two people that occurred in Hong Kong and the Philippines.
