Norway is of the world's largest exporters of oil, natural gas and seafood.... the government has majority or full ownership of the largest operators in the Norwegian oil fields, and that any "surplus wealth" from Norwegian petroleum income is invested straight into the government pension fund.

You're absolutely right. Norway is a country who, more so than most, will need a transition. Both in terms of industry, jobs, and research to enable growth in new future industries, but also in terms of policy and the social structure and welfare system in the face of lowered revenues .
