The picture of the Buddha head in the strangler fig is in "wat Mahathat", the historical park of the city of Ayutthaya Thailand and is about 1km from where I live. The head broke off the body of the statue and got caught in the growing tree. Great post mate!

Thank you mate! That has gone in my book mark folder. I used to live in Thailand and still go regularly as I'm just next door. I will be going to look at this head as I think it just looks amazing! 😃

Brilliant! I was thinking about going to Thailand in 2 months ... either there or Laos. Whatever the case I will come and see the head at sometime soon. If you pass by Cambodia let me know too! 😀
