COSS ramping up soon!
Let's analise this weeks medium:
Best short term news in there: Credit card payments finaly here soon for EUR and GBP!
I get to test the API's!
don't know when exactly yet, but they are on track for the october implementation. Already alerted the wife she will see a lot of me behind the PC during that time. This will be a time I will ramp up the initial coding planned for providing botting service to every COSS trader. Together working with cryptodeal, who did the biggest part in coding the community cossbot. (which now gives a lot of errors due to COSS improving the backend).
For me API has always been the feature that can make COSS volume explode. Bots can trade 24/7 and just do it when the parameters align. My intention is to try and create a trader out of every hodler. Why just let your stack sit there when it can increase.
The COSS token supply situation.
This thing is the main reason I was late with this weeks CELT update.
Yes, indeed. I was part of the small investigation group.
I consider myself to still be a soliditty newbie, but I know enough about it now to spot where things could go wrong or can be exploited. Now knowing that 99% of users or more don't even bother to look at any of the contracts source codes they interact with.
I identified a function in the passed which is used to do the inital coinswap, to import each balance from the previous ERC20 COSS contract.
note that only the fsa distributor is allowed to execute this contract.
meaning only the fsa admin can change balances like they did with the initial coinswap
So at a certain point in the investigation we started our search for this function being called AFTER the initial coinswap.
There was this user in the group who seemed to have to much spare time and actually digged through the 20 000+ transactions one by one inn order to find foul play.
which resulted in:
apparantly I was working with a former user called 6:7 or something.
Which I heard stories of that destroying coss is pretty much his only goal in life. Why? I don't know. I only knew it was him after we found usage of the earlier mentioned function.
So why did COSS fsa devs use the function?
They used it to fix stuck deposits.
The times these functions are starting to be used correspond with the times deposits started to getting fixed.
which leads to next statement:
It was definatly lazy and misuse of acces to fix wrong deposits with a function that should have been rendered useless after initial tokenswap setup.
The named functions should not be used anymore, not even to fix deposits.
deposits should be fixed using a diffrent route or keep stuck till the new deposits get here.
Let's move on to CELT
CELT is progressing nicely to the eth breakeven point.
we're getting to breakeven which means I'll be doing a tokenswap somewhere before I intend to distribute the first divs.
The token will undergo a swap turning it into a dividend token.
you can check out an example of a dividend token in the works at :
https://etherscan.io/address/0xfaae60f2ce6491886c9f7c9356bd92f688ca66a1#code
It is a dividend token where I sell 90% of my dapps profits to the shareholders in an effort to fundraise myself to go fulltime dev.
Roadmap:
- Implement tokenswap to Convert CELT into a dividend token
- Do awesome coding during API testing and try to turn every HODLER into a TRADER
- start distributing profits when in profit
New DAPP is live:
http://slaughter3d.com/
It is a 1 vs 1 coinflip
0.1 eth to play, winner takes 0.185 eth.
loser get's added in line for a refund.
each 20 games played will payout a loser at minimum.
P3D divs will further the line as well.
Loser also has a 1 in 1000 chance to win the jackpot upon losing.
Hope to see you guys try it out and come slaughter me when I'm in the game.
90+ games played so far at time of writing! :D
we're killing the rules of gambling because losing is only temporary state.
Thank you guys for reading!

Nice update this week! Thanks
Stay far away from Coss.
The Coss platform is still garbage and the team continues to bungle things, with their poorly managed fork to ERC223, latent and buggy platform, terrible customer service turnaround, and censoring social media commentary. All of this will be reflected in the long-term value of the coin. Time for the crypto community to turn backs on bad exchanges.
