The annual report of the Global Prosperity Index issued by the research institute The Legatum Institute shows welfare conditions in 149 countries around the world. One factor to measure the welfare of a country is to look at the economic stability in the country.
As quoted from the official report of the London-based company, (January 2018), the Legatum ranked the world's wealthiest countries based on eight key indicators covering the areas of governance, economics, entrepreneurship and business opportunities, education, health, individual security, as well as the income level of the community.
Specifically from the economic point of view, the Legatum assessed the resilience of 149 countries based on the macroeconomic policy it implements. Not only that, the satisfaction and prediction of the economy of the country, the foundation of economic growth and efficiency of the financial sector also become the Legatum benchmark in determining its rank.
The top 10 rankings are dominated by Scandinavian countries. Here's a list of the world's most prosperous countries.
1. Norway
Based on data from the Legatum Institute, for seven consecutive years, Norway is in the top ranks of the world's most prosperous countries. This year, Norway is ranked top in the field of prosperity.
2. New Zealand
