Yes, when I come back to work and talk to younger Korean teacher a lot of them just went on vacation. There are some good things in the tradition like respect but it is over done. My mother in law really loves me but still I am exhausted the whole week after visiting for three days with all the older relatives and comparisons and the teachings of how my father-in-law knows the right way for everything. There is a lot of stress. And politics or religion is a death sentence for family gatherings. I hope you had a great one.

yes during chuseok i heard lots and lots of screaming and yelling in my neighborhood. it's also during this time where pets get thrown away the most. the entire nation gets so stressed out i don't even know why they continue to hold on to outdated traditions that cause more harm than good.
the smart ones leave the country during this period, and they relax and come back when things are normal 😃
