So you want to participate in the Covesting Tokensale…but you’re not sure how it works?

We’ve received many questions from our community about how to partake in the Covesting Token sale. With over 700 participants in the first week alone, we wanted to create a guide, answering the most frequently asked questions about how to participate. Cryptocurrency can have a learning curve, and even those with experience need help from time to time!

Step 1: Buying Bitcoin or Ethereum

The first step, if you haven’t already done so, is to acquire Ethereum so you can participate in the token sale. The easiest way to do so is to use an exchange such as Coinbase, or whatever exchange is the most popular in your country. You can view a list of the most popular exchanges here. If you have trouble finding an exchange that allows you to buy Ethereum with fiat currency, you can always buy Bitcoin, and then exchange the Bitcoin for Ethereum on any cryptocurrency exchange.

Step 2: Setting Up a Personal Ethereum

We highly recommend using myetherwallet.com to create your own Ethereum wallet. Make sure you write down your private key, and save your passphrase. Once you’ve created your wallet, you can then withdrawal the Ethereum you have at your exchange, and send it to your myetherwallet by taking the address of your wallet and pasting it into the “send address” on your exchange. You can use other wallets on the market, but we prefer myetherwallet because it is the simplest wallet in terms of allowing you physically see your COV or Covesting token balance in your account.

Step 3: Do your Due Diligence

Make sure you properly backup your wallet’s passphrase and keystone file, so if you accidentally delete it…you have a second copy. If you forget to do this, and accidentally delete the file or your computer crashes, you likely will never recover your account. Now that your wallet is ready to go, make sure you read our White Paper, and learn as much about Covesting as you can. You can join your Telegram Channel and talk to the team and ask as many questions as you’d like. We’re always around to help and clarify any questions you have. There are many ICOs that are not honest, or don’t follow through on projects, and we are here to tell you we are not one of those. We have a very honest and open line of communication…even our CEO Dmitrij Pruglo is readily available to chat!

Step 4: Ready to Invest

If you come to the conclusion that you would like to invest in our project, it’s a super simple process! Visit www.covesting.io, and at the top of the page you will see an address for the presale. We will never publish the address anywhere else, including in this article, or in the Telegram chat, as there will always be dishonest individuals who may try to post fake addresses to their own wallet in other locations. Now that you’re on the Covesting website, copy the address and paste that into a “send transaction” in the address field. Select the amount of Ethereum you would like to contribute, it must be .1 ETH or higher. When you send the Ethereum, within seconds the Smart Contract will process the transaction and return COV into the address you have sent from.

Step 5: Viewing your Covesting Tokens

In myetherwallet, you will need to add the COV token to the list of tokens your wallet is designated to display. Regardless if you do this step, your COV tokens will always be in your wallet, the wallet is just not designed to look for them and display them in the user interface until you instruct it to. In your myetherwallet click “Add Custom Token” on the right side and enter in these exact details (they are the same for everyone, not distinct to your personal wallet)
