Life After COVID-19

Affectionate scholar’s the recovery has been slow. I have been trying to exercise regularly during the week and then keep the weekends and evenings for family. To take advantage being off work and on disability. I am still having re-occurring symptoms of COVID such as brain fog, congested in the head, this comes and goes its very weird. But if I am out for a jog for instance my nose will drip a lot anyways, or more then it would normally.

The doctor has started me on an anti-depressant, the first medication they gave me was not good. I had a really bad reaction to it. Zoloft is what they started me on and took me to a very dark and poisonous atmosphere. I was having thoughts of suicide as well as harming others. And this was close to spiraling out of control but I was able to reach out and they started tapering me off the Zoloft so I could start on something that would work for me.

I have been slowly ramping up the new dosage and am off the Zoloft. This new medication has leveled things right out again for me. My mind is no longer racing all over the place and I am finally able to put thought patterns back together in a healthy and constructive environment.

I am hoping to improve on my diet as in the past I would use food as an escape for my stress and problems. Usually this would consist of junk food late at night before bed. I am trying to substitute tough sugars for easy ones and have also given up coffee. It is strictly decaf teas for this guy going forward.

I have started to see a big difference in my energy levels as well as libido. I have had a loss in weight over the past six month. I think at this point I am now down 50 lbs from the initial 250-pound man I was before COVID. I have re-discovered my love for dancing and singing so I am hoping I can share some of that with you in the future instalments of Life After COVID-19.
