Doing things virtually. A sad reality.

in #covid5 years ago

It's funny how, more than ever, the words social distancing, quarantine are usually heard nowadays. With that said a sad reality faces us all -- that we have to do things virtually.

We do virtual meetings, and virtual get togethers.
Virtual congregation meetings and online studies.

Connected

It is achingly sad that we do send virtual hugs and kisses instead of personally giving them. It is better than nothing at all though.

Howevee, A reality that never occured to me is attending a wedding, virtually. That was a new experience, a happy one.

But what i have or is still witnessing right now is nowhere close to a happy occasion. I attended a funeral talk via zoom app of a beloved sister in faith. The zoom meeting is still in progress as of this writing. Various congregation from all over the country share a song of comfort to the bereaved family. Today's the last night.

Funny how this pandemic was able to disrupt our usual activities. Yet, no virus could stop us from showing our love to sisters and brothers in faith who needed much comfort.

Love. Unfailing love.

Love is shown virtually. I long for the day that this pandemic will come to an end.

I hope for the day to come when the Scriptural text recorded at Isaiah 33:24 will be realized:
