I live in Mexico also, but the Caribbean side, in Tulum. Sad to say people are fairly brainwashed here as well, lots of muzzles. I went to visit a friend who lives in Sisal, on the gulf. We spent a night in Merida....99.9% masked, everyone! They are total slaves and behave accordingly. Sisal was no better. I'm not so. hopeful about Mexico either because of what I see here. People don't seem to want to give up the mask, and they don't seem bothered at all by all the temperature taking and antibacterial requirements when entering businesses. Loosing hope quickly.

Totally true story - little old lady volunteer using 'hand sanitiser' many times a day here in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia stopped by the police and breathalysed at the end of the day and found to be over the alcohol limit!!! The alcohol in the 'sanitiser' was absorbed by her skin. She nearly went out of her mind, devout Christian, never touched a drop in her life, she had to persuade the cops she was innocent.
