Alien Sculpt | Work In Progress | Building The Armature/Foundation

Just started sculpting an alien and it is sort of loosely based around the alien in the early 1950s film 'Invaders From Mars'.

Finding anything around the house to build armature/foundation. I used plastic cups, plastic bags, tin foil and masking tape to stick everything together:

Using plastic bags to suggest head shape. Taped with masking tape:

All taped up and pasta machine at the ready to flatten Monster Clay:

Pushing clay through pasta machine:

Applying clay strips to armature/foundation:

Building up shape with pieces of clay:

Working towards alien shape:

More working with clay to create alien head shape:

More to follow, as sculpt progresses, including smoothing out, refining, etc.
