The start of my Steemit Journey...
When I first joined Steemit over a month ago I did not know much about the platform, besides the fact that it was free from censorship. I originally did know what I was doing, being focused on always improving my content I was able to amass over 80 followers.
How I looked when I started.
It took me some time to trust steemit, but I have grown to love the platform!
What I learned...
In the beginning I was hesitant about interacting with my followers because I have always been an introvert. When I realised that this platform had few trolls, I started to trust the community more and have really enjoyed interacting with everyone.
Originally I did not know what Steem was and thought I would have to encourage people to become Patreons and donate. I soon realised that I earned from my posts so asking for contributions was unnecessary.
Some important lessons:
- If you like a comment, or post UPVOTE, especially if it is productive!
- Reply to every comment that is productive.
- Quality over quantity.
- If a post is high quantity RESTEEM! A lot of people on Steemit don't do this enough!
My Plans...
Steemit has given me the chance to earn an income to support myself, while I help my followers to survive and thrive!
As someone with Aspergers, gaining an income is something that is quite difficult and Steemit has given me the opportunity to do this.
I intend to post a lot more content for all of you, this content will include 'premium' content from my other platforms.
Steemit is going to become my main source of income as I grow my blog!
My blog is going to explode!
Thank you!
To thank all my followers for there contribution and some of the awesome replies - I am holding a Steem give away! All the up votes for this post will be given away to one of my followers!
In order to qualify you must:
- Be following me
- Not have me muted
A random follower will be chosen from my list.
Survive and Thrive!
Seems like frustration is a standard part of the journey. Was the same for me but after surpassing 250 followers it started to become a bit better i must say! Keep up the good work!
Welcome, onboard Will follow
Have the best steem evening,
Best regards
Thank you!
Hi @aspieprepper thanks for sharing your experience with us :) I just got Steemit 3 days ago and yesterday I just about had a breakdown because I was so confused and spending way too much time reading articles trying to figure out how to interact on here. I too, am an introvert. That was my first post. I was scared to interact but this post is a reminder that this platform is different :) thanks for sharing, I'm following, keep it up :)
Excellent reply - upvoted!
Good lesson! I followed you!
Thank you!
