A Beginner's Guide to Creative Writing

in #creative5 years ago

Creative writing is any form of writing which is written with the creativity of mind such as creative nonfiction writing, poetry writing, fiction writing and much more. The purpose is to express something, whether it be emotions, feelings or thoughts.

Rather than inciting the reader or giving actionable information to make more beneficial to the writer. Creative writing is written to educate someone, entertain, to spread awareness about something, or to express one’s thoughts.

There are two kinds of creative writing: effective and ineffective, positive and negative. Bad, ineffective creative writing doesn't make any impression on the reader. In other words, it won’t able to achieve the end user's purpose.

When you write great poetry, fiction or nonfiction, amazing things can happen. Readers can’t put it down. The work you wrote becomes a bestseller. But first, you have to reach to that level.

The best way to increase your proficiency in creative writing is to write compulsively, but it doesn’t mean write whatever you want. There are certain things you should know first… it helps to start with the right foot.

Sometimes you reach that stage when you outgrow the beginner stage but feel that you’re not yet an expert.
