It sort of feels like, we just skipped over any kind of spring & jumped right into summer in this part of the world. And I am not complaining one bit. Sandals all day, everyday & no more jeans!! Hello shorts & summer dresses! I got to lounge in the sunshine with my two kiddos yesterday afternoon & we bbq'd some pork souvlaki & ate it on the deck. It's the simple things, but man... just a perfect +20 day.
Also, super random, but cool story...
Went to go get some wood planed yesterday for this project we're working on, at this place that custom builds doors & stairs mostly. (Yes, my husband is a carpenter & we don't have a planer of our own... one day!) The head carpenter there was super impressed with Jonathan's work & kept asking me is he was happy at his current job. Haha! They didn't charge me either to get the work done & just said our payment is for Jonathan to come in & meet him so they can chat. I don't imagine Jonathan would leave his job of course, but it was a funny little moment of the day but also encouraging that a skilled carpenter can see that Jonathan is also very skilled & good at what he does.
(This is going to be a lid for a box. It's cherry wood with a strip of maple through it).

It's going to be a wedding gift for my niece & we're excited to give them a beautiful handmade memory box for any treasures, photos or love notes they want to keep in a safe little place. I hope they will like it.
