This day I want to share this very nice elegance colorful hats,this hats is made of Buri palm trees,Buri is next to coconut tree,before that on how is it done the buri hat,let me first introduced the Buri palm tree.

Buri is a native palm in the philippines they are fan palms leaves with a long petiole terminating in a rounded fan.

This plant is comparable and as usefulas a coconut tree,nothing is wasted from palm to young fruits,and lives more than 30 years as scientific name CORYPHA
The leafs of the buri can manufacture as many as mats,bags,hats,handfans and many more...
Banig or mats is one made of buri
Mats normally used for sleeping and setting,it is not a textile,they are made of dried leaves,sometimes dyed before being cut into strips and woven into mat.
