Inktober Day 17, Ornament

in #creativecoin5 years ago (edited)

What's up everybody,
I'm on the bus on my way to teach Cardio Core to my amazing crew of Ladies of South Van. Took a few shots of my Inktober drawing to blog on the go.

One year ago today, a loyal art student took me out to the Vancouver Art Gallery to see Guo Pei, fashion designer extraordinaire. It was her third time at the exhibition, a film crew found her interesting and took an interview on the spot.

I recycled an entire sketchbook recently and this image drawn during the show is the only one I kept. I just love to draw quick studies at the museum, having these incredible pieces in front of me. We did that a few times for my BFA, I wish we had done it more!

I thought I would give the gown a do-over for Ornament.

To think hundreds of crafts people put their blood sweat and tears so that one designer could stand in the limelight.

Here are the kids from Green Apple Art Center, they are a handful but also very artistic. I enjoy teaching them on a Sunday mornings as older siblings are taking other classes. The Halloween masks are so cool. While most tossed their paintings, the little guy with the airplane took his home.
