Don't you love those injuries that appear from out of nowhere and you can't recall anything that you might have done to get them? XD I've woken up with bruises and scratches and things that I didn't have the previous day before, figured may I just sleep violently sometimes, perhaps you've had a particularly active dream recently? :D
Whatever texture you've got in those colours is really working for a skin tone :)

I used to use a noise texture for my skin procedurals precisely for that reason XD
For 2d stuff I use one of the HB pencil brushes because they look skin-like. Simply things work wonders sometimes XD
