With this post we are officially launching the Second Edition of the Creative Writing Challenge!
If you are not aware what Creative Writing Challenge is you could refer back to the first pre-launch post.
The First Challenge's Task #1 was based on a famous creative writing exercise called Triple Seven. It was the sparkle that lit the creative fire. This time we'll get into shape with something called Tony's List.
Before I share the full story, let's quickly recap the main stats we've reached since the last update.

Let the Second Creative Writing Challenge begin!
Task #1: Tony's List
Tony is a writer. He lives not far from the local Walmart. Once he was walking in the nearby park when he met his brother Jack. Jack complained that he had forgotten to buy a present for his wife and that day was their anniversary. Jacked asked his brother to go to Walmart and buy some food so that he could get back home to tidy the place and start preparing for his wife's arrival. He decided to cook dinner and the only chance for him to finish on time is to delegate the shopping to his brother. The shopping list was so huge that he had nothing else to do but to create a story so that all the items were combined all together and could be easily memorized.
The shopping list is:
- Bananas
- Tomatoes
- White wine
- Gone with the Wind - book
- Greek yogurt
- Coke
- Oranges
- A tasty bone for Charlie (the family's dog)
Your task is to help Tony create the story.
Be as much creative as possible. This is a real technique for remembering stuff called the linking method. The more enticing the story is the higher the chance is for Tony to remember all the items he has to buy. Approach it as a writer and do not write something too simple. Warm up your brain cells and surprise me and the rest of the participants with something both creative and funny. It could be a narrative in past tense for example.
It would be nice if you also put an unique title of your story. Leave Tony's List as a task title only and write your own.

It's quite colorful since I like to accompany my short stories with pictures, I hope that's not a problem.
Also, when I try to remember stuff, to me it also helps to associate them with a place, and in some cases that's what I did:
Spain - Tomatoes
Greece - Yogurt
Hawaii - Oranges (Hawaii just screams fruits)

It may not be very complicated but sometimes something simple its harder because you want to make it as good as possible. There's no "it was complicated" to fall back on :)

Interesting. So we need to make a good story, but it also probably shouldn't be overly long if we hope for our friend Tony to remember it when he arrives at Walmart.

A hint: Tony is a writer. He likes nice stories and his memory is strong enough. But do it as it wasn't Tony, but you if you wish. Something that suits your own character :)

Yay! I just got back from kayak camping and suddenly find myself in snow, the perfect environment for some creative writing. I was so excited, I went with the first thought that popped into my head! I'd also like to contribute 5 SBD to the pot, in part to keep myself accountable. Sent it your way!

This one was far more difficult than it probably should have been. I had to let it sit for a bit so my mind could get a hold of a direction to go. Too many possibilities with this one so it was really hard to decide.
