I’ve been away from here for more than two years, wow.
A lot has gone on since I last wrote on here; I finished my blanket and gifted it to my mother-in-law,

I finished my crochet black top and took it on holiday, twice, to the Greek island of Kos The first time we went we took the kids and had a week in glorious sunshine and spent the majority of it by the pool, the second time was just my husband and I, to the same island but the opposite end. We spent the majority of it touring the entire island and loved it. We saw so much I’ll write a separate post with all the details another time.

This post will mainly be about me, I love crafting I’ve done so much but I will start with my late mother-in-law’s blanket. She passed away after having been diagnosed with cancer and left us at the end of August last year. We were both devastated for loosing her and after the funeral we needed to re-home her beloved cat, Misty,

We had a wonderful offer for a new home for misty from my husband’s first wife.
Misty is very happy and we have updates every so often saying so.

I strongly believe my late mother-in-law loved her cat and cherished my husband’s first wife and so I gifted the finished blanket to her as a thank you and a memory of Paddy.

I’ve recently made and gifted a crochet unicorn to my niece for her birthday - she adores it.

I’ve crocheted so many things over the past few years and I’ve had so much fun making them but I wanted a change and so I’ve swapped tracks and gone onto crafting with fabric and fell in love with English Paper Piecing

and La Passacaglia which will take me about a year or more to complete.

I’m hoping to make a tutorial on English Paper Piecing in another post.
I am also hoping to widen my learning into more fabric based crafts.
I’ve been playing around with Foundation Paper Piecing and hope to have a few things made for Christmas gifts.

I’m in the process of making my first quilt with Half Square Triangles – HST, for a friend’s baby and also to trying to gather skills and practice.

I will try to put up a few posts a month, when I can.
That’s the end of my first post in two years I’m away to craft some more.

Here I’m working on my first foundation paper piece of a star.
Thrilled to see you back. Looking forward to seeing more of your handicrafts. I too haven't posted anything in two years. Haven't raised enough nerve to go for it yet I guess...
I think my kick up the bum was from @michelle.gent glad I did and I’ve got the next post drafted for Monday 😊
Hi Danielle, and welcome back! I love seeing your crafts and what you've been working on - all the best! xox

I didn't even realise you'd done so much! Well done. This lockdown certainly has a lot to answer for where missing my family is concerned. I'm so glad you're posting about your crafts. Keep it up! <3
I’ve done so much more than I have mentioned but I think I’ll start collecting my crafts on here ❤️

Welcome back and I definitely love your unicorn crochet.
Thank you Mia loved it.
Just jumping from post to post via people's comments (I think its a great way to find new accounts that I'm not aware of) and got here. Love the unicorn and the fact you love Downton Abbey. High Five!
