The Guide to Creative Living
Many people live their lives without a clue of what they want to do with each day let alone their future. I have met so many people who don't bother to explore their talents and potential. The only people who have been able to land careers that they enjoy and that look like hobbies are the people who have pursued their creative talents enough to where they were able to make money with them. Society pressures young people into walking a certain path that often has children loose their desire to pursue their creative goals. Here's the thing. If you are willing to put in the work, you can make money with anything! In this post, I will be addressing how you can explore your creative mind to find what you enjoy to do, and also how you can make a career out of your creative desires with the right approach. Lets get started by expanding your mind!
Step 1: Explore your interests!
If you do not know what you enjoy doing, then that is okay. Whether you just started to play baseball and you are beginning to enjoy it, or you are deeply consumed with the passion to build computers, you are not doing anything wrong in your pursuit of your interests. Just keep in mind there should be something that you can always go to when you are bored or when you are upset or when you are feeling a creative urge. Don't count out anything. It could be video games, exercising or even playing with your imagination. When I was very young, I loved to play with Legos. I would always be inspired by my brothers' creations. As I grew up, I became more and more skilled in my building. The most important thing about this interest is that it led to making many other things. I am seventeen years old my childhood interests have led to my interests in music, video editing, acting, computers and building. It is easy to believe that childhood interests die off but that could not be further from the truth. Childhood interests grow into more complex and exciting ideas for creation. From building Legos one could have a future as an Engineer. From basic video editing one could have a future as a director. Let your interests give you ideas for your future. This brings us to the next step in our creative journey: Making money!
Step 2: Apply your talents.
When you enter your teenage years, more responsibility will fall on you. You need to find a way to make money! At this point, your goal is to not only make your parents stop yelling at you, but also to do whatever you can to establish an income. This is where your skills come in. If you recall the previous step, it was said that your interests grow into new ideas. Well, these new ideas are the foundation for making money as a young adult.
Many students don't think about making money with their interests before they go to college. They are only focus on getting their degree so they can't go into their desired career. Not enough people decide to utilize their interests as a way to make money while in their early teenage years. There are millions of ways you can make money online. However, this is where it comes down to your attitude towards working hard. Many career fields require a large amount of work for an average pay. For example, the field of artistry is not in high demand, meaning that not a lot of people want to buy art pieces. For this reason, artists need to work very hard to spread their image out to the world for the possibility of selling their work. I am not trying to detour you from becoming an artist by any means, just know that it is all on you to make money.
Remember that nobody owes you a job or a paycheck. It doesn't matter how rich you are, you need to do your part to get the cash. Now, if you are willing to work your hardest to make money, then you are off to a great start. Now comes the time to put your talents and skills to use.
A great example of a way to make money is web design. Many small businesses do not have good websites or websites in general. Without websites, these business cannot make a lot of money selling their products. When if comes to making websites, you do not even to know how to program. There are programs such as Wordpress that are easy to use and can make great looking websites. If you can establish a deal with a business owner and have them pay you for making them a website, then you have found a great route to make money.

Any interest, talent or idea can be used to make money! As long as you can find a way to apply it to the real world, it's fair game! If you enjoy playing a sport, you can design unique gear for people who play that sport. If you enjoy making computers then you could design robots, home security systems, or mp3 players for your car using the Arduino or the Raspberry Pi. Additionally, you can building computers to mine currencies to make money!
Step 3: Think outside the box.
I can't go over every way that you can use your talents to make money, but I can tell you to start thinking about it yourself. The internet is the greatest gateway to possibility that has ever been created. You need to think about how you can make money off the demands of the market. Think about daily problems people encounter and how they could be solved. Go along the lines of your talents and interests. What problems exist that could be solved with your talents and ideas. What kind of things could you make that would be interesting to others. Your biggest task if finding out for yourself how you can use your skills to make money not only in the long run, but also in short term profits. With enough work, any interest or talent can earn a profit at any point in your life. In every stage of your life, you can find new ways to apply your ideas and talents. Keep thinking about gateways for your talent, and keep exploring the world for problems and yourself for solutions!
