Immature poets imitate; mature poets steal; bad poets deface what they take, and good poets make it into something better, or at least something different. The good poet welds his theft into a whole of feeling which is unique, utterly different from that from which it was torn.
—T. S. Eliot
There is always a source to every creativity, most artists study ideas that is worth stealing and it does not matter if it is good or bad but if it is worth it.
For instance: Most companies get their ideas from other company and they find a way to improve the products they are working on to please their consumers.
It is a good idea to steal from yourself - your dreams and memory and also from the artists you love.
All creative work builds on what comes before, nothing is completely original. You get your ideas from the things around you, from the type of music you listen to, the books you read, the things you watch and hear can influence your ideas or thoughts.
Stealing from other creativity makes your work authentic and you doing not be scared of referencing the work you stole from. We are always inspired by something creative.
There is nothing new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9)
