Scotland suffered its first setback in the current T20 World Cup after winning three consecutive games. They were defeated by Afghanistan by a massive margin of 130 runs in their first Super Twelve encounter.

The Scottish innings was restricted to 60 runs in 10.2 overs while chasing the Afghans' target of 191 runs. George Mansi of Scotland has a career high of 25 runs. Captain Kyle Quetzer (10) and Chris Greaves (12) also scored. Furthermore, no other Scottish batter could reach double figures.
