My Crownrend Earnings To Date

My Crownrend Earnings to Date (Thumbnail).png

I hate the title of the post because it makes it seem like I only started playing Crownrend to make money... and that is not the truth. I started playing Crownrend because of Nostalgia. It reminded me a game I used to play back in High School but I couldn't remember the name of it. (DarkThrone is the old browser based game that Crownrend is like).

But the more I am playing this game the more I wanted to write a post detailing what I have earned from the game or what I lost. I think it's important to give a realistic viewpoint from players who have been playing a while so new people looking to join at least know what they are getting into.

First I was to make it clear. I will list what I spent joining the game and what I spent selling Denar. Then I will get into my earnings from all my Crownrend Posts/Articles and the Tutorial Contest. But I will keep them separate in case you are a prospective new player and don't want to write posts or only want to write posts.

Cost to start playing Crownrend

When I started playing Crownrend on January 17th it cost me 19.582 HIVE. So purely from a financial standpoint I am in the hole 19.582 HIVE.

However, since this is a game I look at it that I want to get at least that much worth of 'FUN' out of it. If playing this game had zero ways to earn money but I still had fun playing it, I would count that has a win. We buy AAA games for xBox or Playstation and earn nothing from it but we enjoy playing the game.

My Earnings from Selling $DENAR

The in-game currency in Crownrend is Denar. You earn it passively. Once you claim it you save it into your Vault so nobody can attack you and take that amount. Once it is in your Vault you can spend it on upgrades, buying chests or withdraw it to your HIVE account.

At first I was not making much of any Denar so I needed to keep it to upgrade my buildings. But now I get more and more so I can funnel some of that Denar into my HIVE account and sell it.

To date I have withdrawn and sold 167 Denar on Hive-Engine. (for just pure sanity sake I am not going to factor in the 0.75% fee on Hive-Engine)

Excel_Screenshot_of_Orders.png

That is a breakdown of all my orders to sell Denar. (some rounding took place in there to make it more legible)

Purely from a monetary standpoint I sold $6.95 worth of Denar. But that really isn't that accurate to me. When in blockchains and web3 I don't really care about the $$ value of tokens or coins. It is more so the amount of coins that I care about. Did I spend 15 tokens and make 30? Or did I spend 15 tokens and made 2 back? That is more relevant to me personally.

Like I mentioned earlier though I spent 19.582 HIVE to create my Crownrend account and I have earned 25.128 HIVE from selling Denar.

So I am positive 5.546 HIVE right now!

My Earnings from Articles

Here is where it gets interesting. Yes I have a section for the Tutorial but I am including the article post earnings of that Tutorial in here to make it easier for me.

Each image below is a clickable link to that article

My first post about me starting out make 10.40 in HIVE rewards!

My 2nd post made 3.09 in HIVE rewards.

3rd post made a laughable 0.15 HIVE rewards. Sad day 😋

My 4th post was my Tutorial submission Article. It made 6.70 in HIVE rewards. But I also got two 1 HIVE tips on it so 8.70 in HIVE rewards.

My 5th and last post earned 0.07 in Hive Rewards.

Adding all of that up, it equals 22.41 in HIVE rewards.

If you are keeping track that is a net positive of 27.956 in HIVE (Hive or HP I am not getting that picky).

And I know with fees and curation and all that is will be slightly less but let's just keep it simple.

My Earnings from Tutorial Contest

Me getting 1st place in the Tutorial Contest earned me 350 DENAR that the team sent to my account. That Denar was sent in game to buy Chests because at that point I didn't open any chests yet.

I bought 3 chests and immediately equipped 2 of the items. The 3rd was a duplicate tagged item so I couldn't equip it.

This was my 3rd item which was the duplicate. I listed it for 20 HIVE and immediately forgot about. As of right now that is way to high for what it is so I will probably lower it to 12 HIVE.

But what is more is that @hivewatcher sent the winner 2 in-game items as well. So I got a SERIOUS boost that day for winning the contest.

Here are my current items which I "won" all of them so they are all net profit too if I ever do end of selling them.

So all in I have 'made' 27.956 in HIVE so far.

I have more than doubled my initial investment from playing Crownrend. I also invested no further HIVE then what was required to start playing.

I don't think that I will keep withdrawing Denar, at least for a while. I am going to keep focusing on building up my buildings and buying more chests as I can. Chests are where the game is at. And if I happen to have crazy odds and pull an insane item then I might think about selling it for HIVE 😁

Thank you for reading my post. Hope you have a great day and a happy time playing Crownrend!
