As an update to a post a made a few weeks ago, Goldman Sachs has reaffirmed its interesting in cryptocurrency investments. During an earnings call, Chief Financial Officer R. Martin Chavez said "And so we want to respond to those client requests, and we have. And we’re in also the business of being careful with our shareholders’ capital, and so we’re doing that with extreme prudence and caution as we learn." Nothing official has come from Goldman Sachs about cryptocurrency investments but there are many rumors and executives are speaking openly about the possibilities.
Question...
Would you use Goldman Sachs or another large financial company to invest in bitcoin or other cyrptocurrencies? Do investors need just another middleman which would require fees for there services? I would love to know your thoughts!
