I will hodl my alt coins because if I sell them it means I never believed in them in the first place. I will actually buy more to take the advantage of the drop. If Steem, for example, goes down quite a bit, I will invest in a lot more. Bitcoin could go up to $10,000 some say but if that happens there could be a backlash. It will be interesting

Bitcoin has the largest market cap and the most established infrastructure comparing to all the other alt coins. As more and more hedge funds and elites are picking up Bitcoins, the crypto price will continue to rise steadily.

Final Fantasy 3 had that same theme for SNES if I remember right. I still think EOS is too expensive right now and I can't touch it until it's under 25 cents. Well funded it is but also not good to buy right now if I don't want to be the bigger fool. On the other hand I'm going to try to acquire more AGRS if the price keeps dropping both to support the idea behind the project and because I look for under valued projects with huge upside potential.
I dunno, I feel like EOS is cheap atm.

A Decentralised space means personal responsibility. This is maybe a good thing because we all know what this mean when we get into the crypto-space. Have you noticed that even if there are scam with people losing money, there is not a big outcry as a result of it because we all know about personal responsibility. We can blame no one but ourselves. there will be more scams but at the same time people will also be wise to them.

Alt Coins bleeding is due to traders building up their profile to be ready when BTC breaks 5K.
Since 5k has some resistance, BTC will take a day or two or more, and this is when traders accumulate more alt coins by dumping them into btc, causing btc to break 5k and go beyond after all the skeptics got on board btc's ride to 6k.
The traders will trade back for these alt coins that got traded for btc in the last few days, to catch even bigger swings. I'm thinking the alt coins will take their swings a day after BTC starts it's ascend to 6k.
This should cause more volatility after the next top, depending on how many skeptics accept BTC's inevitable forever upward trend.
The alt swings might push BTC even further than 6k after traders cash in for BTC at the top of the alt coins.
(When I say alt coins, I am saying alt coins that have core values "DYOR")
In anyways, DO NOT DROP YOUR ALTS that you believe in, if you have coins that you have no clue what they are, go look them up and decide if you believe they will have a future in this new crypto world that is fast approaching.
I am going to be taking alt coin profits after btc reaches 6K, and holding mostly btc while alt coins do their thing... I'll buy back at 50% dip, only those that looks like it will survive in the far future.

This seems like a logical explanation for the pre-mined blocks for the upcoming BTC fork. - We are currently on 488973 block for BTC right now…so the fork has possibly already happened, however this is no official info on their website. They could have possibly moved the block number, or we could be in a testnet.
According to the original website text, Bitcoin Gold was even planning an initial coin offering (ICO) by which 1 percent of the bitcoin gold coins would go to the developer team, but these details have since been removed.
h4x3rotab did say this:
“Organisms derive benefits from creating offspring. With bitcoin gold we are conducting an experiment to see if that principle holds true in the world of blockchains.”
Kinda sounds like a possible testnet scenario. The possibility of a pump and dump is still not out of the picture, however I do believe h4x3rotab is doing this so he/she can successfully realign Bitcoin back with Satoshi Nakamoto’s original vision of what the coin really means.

Being new to crypto, i'm looking for an explanation/opinions on contributing ETH to EOS as a US resident. I understand that its "not available" on the site to US citizens, but that ETH can be contributed through the blockchain to obtain EOS. Will there be any issues with claiming after the ICO? I've read that if you purchased fraudulently your EOS contributions may be voided. Is this true? and are US citizens purchasing EOS wasting their money? From what I understand its not "illegal" to transfer ETH to get EOS , correct? Only that its blocked from US investors on the website? Final question... this unavailability for US citizens, is because US laws cannot protect its citizens who invest, because during ICO its technically not considered a tradable investment so purchasers are not protected by law from scams?......Or is it because in case EOS turns out to be a scam, US laws will not be able to help its citizens combat against a scam? Again, I'm pretty new to crypto, and the scenarios I'm asking about, I have read on other threads, so I'm trying to filter out the B.S. rumors and understand the truth. Wow, this comment ended up much longer than I anticipated! Last question is...... will there be an issue with being able to keep your EOS tokens after the ICO ends for people in the US?
I am trying to understand this situation since my friend that got my into crypto is purchasing, and telling me that I should as well. But if there is risk of it being a "fraudulent purchase", and his EOS becomes void, I'm not touching it.

I think one of the new reasons people are buying up bitcoin is because holding bitcoin allows you to get all the forked coins that come from it. That cannot be said for bitcoin cash which is another reason I do not buy bitcoin cash.
