Japanese Crypto Investors Pay up to 55% on profit
Japanese Crypto Investors will pay between 15-55% of their profits declared Bloomberg reports. Also reporting they are starting a National tax agency, tracking crypto. Japan has recognized Bitcoin as a legal payment method in April 2017. It isn't shared what exactly makes the sliding scale, however 55% is absolute highway robbery, vs the normal petty theft.
Completely degrades the risk taken in this market. Absolutely absurd.

Russian Scientists Arrested - attempt to use supercomputer for superminer
A computer the Russian government uses at a max security Nuclear research facility, is never supposed to go online. However, the computer that processes 1 Petaflop of information a second, was an enticing feat. A team of workers attempted to get it online, and mining. However their attempts were caught and foiled.
Imagine the reprocussions of that kind of computer getting a virus?
What an inticing plight.. However, extremely extremely stupid.
I suspect a few more articles to come out like this. With youtube adds being hacked for peoples computers to mine crypto, and other plights, it seems like we're going to need to beef computer security- yet again.

SEC Hints at Tighter ICO Regulation

Any coin that, even if it does not offer equity, but increase in worth- it's concidered a security.

These quotes are from Jay Clayton, chariman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
In further elaboration, claimed there are 'true cryptocurrencies' listing Bitcoin and ethereum, vs. ICO Securities. It seems the difference, is in the stage the currency is in. And whether it's off the ground and proven as of yet.
It will be interesting to see the depths of how they 'classify' true cryptocurrency, vs. ICO Securities. When does the embryo become a baby? WIll it be market cap based, time based, or other milestone based?
Sounds messy to regulate. And sounds like we'll need to do a few petitions to get it straight.

It's reasons like this that will make crypto's like Verge and Monero more attractive for their privacy...
