Segwit2X: free money! right?

Segwit2X != free lunch

Are you looking forward to the free money from the Segwit2X fork, similar to bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold?
It might not be that easy this time around!

Segwit2X isn't so much a fork, as seen previously, but a (hostile?) takeover of the bitcoin name and brand. If it is successful, the value of "bitcoin" will follow B2X, and what we know as bitcoin today could falter and crumble (similar to ethereum classic maybe?) In that sense, there is no "free money", rather just a transfer of the existing value from bitcoin to Segwit2X.

My prediction:

• A ton of opportunists quickly try to sell the new B2X to make a quick buck, massively devaluing it.
• Lots of people lose money, a few people make money.
• BTC plummets for a couple weeks and then recovers.
• Altcoins surge into the vaccuum, expecting a significant pricebump in Litecoin and Ethereum
