This is one of the reasons why I stick with the good ol' fashioned bitcoin paper wallet.
Hacks like this make it hard for me to trust new technologies. I'm the type of guy to keep Windows XP for as long as possible and not update my software until I'm sure there are no bugs.
My heart goes out to the victims of this hack, though. :(
