It is astounding how many people DON'T do this. Even more troublesome is that the majority don't have their funds in cold storage...
But make sure you're backing them up in a secure, intelligent way. What way you choose, is entirely up to you of course, but don't just write down your keys and passwords in a folder called MY CRYPTO PRIVATE KEYS, COME STEAL ME.
Maybe it's a good thing it got lost.Why would you want to keep "shit" coins any way.
