... and with every bull cycle, the newcomers all come in with testosterone and confidence in abundance, and convince themselves that they have nothing to learn from the past. Of course, that is sort of crypto in a nutshell anyway, speed-running the past lessons of economics and history... tech-bros realising that SOME of the rules that slow us down are there for a good reason... and others are cruft. But the trick is knowing which is which, and not turfing out everything!
Anyway, Hyperliquid ($HYPE) has recently been in the news as their airdrop was well received and ended up being one of the larger ones this cycle... pity I missed it, as I'm quite risk-averse and don't like jumping from site to site and dodgy project to dodgy project to chase airdrops and tokens. Signing lots of transactions everywhere seems to be the definition of foolhardy bravery!
So, it turns out that the Radiant exploiters... which were a North Korean team, has now turned to "trading" on Hyperliquid. And so far they are down bad... but the question is, what are they doing?
Obviously a rogue state actor isn't going to be trying to make money by trading on derivative platforms, and the suspicion is that they are just testing the platform, just scouting out how things work on the smart contracts.
... and if that wasn't enough, it seems like Hyperliquid is a 3/4 validator set... ouch, that seems to be pretty thin security for a 2 billion or so treasure pot!
... but instead of taking things seriously, it seems like the Hyperliquid team is ghosting Tay and others of the SEAL team... and their community (lots of which seem to be newcomers, and pretty confident ones at that...) are attacking Tay and SEAL for FUDDING what they consider to be a successful project.
EEEEEP, you ignore the adult-OG survivors in the crypto-security community at your own risk... they have seen and battled it all behind the scenes. I really hope it goes okay for Hyperliquid and nothing bad happens... but when North Korea is probing your defences... perhaps it is a good time to swallow your pride and confidence, and get some advice from the OGs?

The thing with most kids (actual kids as well as crypto "kids" apparently XD) is that there is a phase in life where you feel completely and perfectly confident and justified in ignoring everything that anyone older than you has to say because they're lilving in the past and times now are completely different so whatever knowledge they have is completely irrelevant and not applicable.
Sometimes people are so absolutely sure of themselves that they have to learn the hard way :)
and if ego is a thing then they'll never learn
I am also speaking very generally as I don't fully know what you're talking about and don't really keep up with much of anything x_x
