It Doesn't Matter If Steem Drops Below $1.00 - Keep Buying And Keep Steeming!

Listen everyone, Steem is at $1.00 right now and it doesn't matter; don't be afraid. It may have even dropped below it today (I haven't been watching the exchanges today). Imho, this is the time to buy and, if it gets lower, it is an even better time to buy. Unless this drops below 25 cents before correcting, I think it is a great time to accumulate more. If you buy today and increase your steem power, you will, in turn, be able to accumulate more steem once it rises again, and if it becomes $5.00ish again, you will have quintupled your investment.

Steemit has shown that it isn't going anywhere soon, thanks to the massively loyal and engaged following, along with companies that are forming as complements to Steemit (DTube, steemvoter.com, gainingsteem.com, steemd.com, steemwhales.com, etc.). Steem is the most utilized blockchain technology for a reason; people love it and they want to engage in a social media platform that will actually reward them, rather than taking home all the rewards themselves. Steemit is a great place and even the minnow can earn some Steem for making meaningful contributions to the site.

An often harped upon point is that we are still in the 'beta' stage of the site, but that is because it is a VERY important point. We are at the ground floor of a social media platform that may be the beginning of a new age of social media. Imagine being at the beginning of YouTube and Facebook and understanding that you are a part of something huge. I believe and so do many others that Steemit.com is the next generation of social media and we are all excited to be reaping the rewards of adopting it early. So, it doesn't matter if it drops below $1.00; that just says to me that we are fortunately going to get some more Steem at a discount and that investment is going to grow. Keep buying steem, keep steeming, and keep helping to make the cryptocurrency community and the Steemit community a welcoming, beautiful place! :)

AS ALWAYS, WISHES OF WEALTH AND HEALTH FOR ALL! :)

Great call! :)

thank you buddy ^_^

You're very welcome! :)

definitely the right thing to do, i just bought some extra steems

Good call! :)

You are so right, who cares what price Steem is now? What matters is the potential is represents: free and rewarded sharing of information on a decentralized system. It will certainly take a long time before mass adoption happens, since people are sheeple and we rather succumb to advertising over thinking for ourselves. But at some point, mankind will wake up and at that time, let's check the price per unit of Steem again.

On that day, @biddle, we will look back at these days of golden opportunity when Steem was only $1 and laugh about it.

AMEN!!!! :) We will be smiling on the beach, having been part of something amazing that rewarded us in so many ways, including and far beyond just financially! :)

if steem is going down, we should buy it.

Definitely!

I would agree. The foundamantals haven't changed from two or three weeks ago.
Go Steemit !!!

Exactly! :)

buy on a dip, sell when it's high, can't get simpler !

Agreeed!

Thanks biddle upvoted and Resteemed!

Thanks @cosmicboy123 ! I appreciate it! and thank you for reading! :) Steem on! :)

Interesting!

Thanks! :)

I totally agree with your opinion. It is still underestimated so this is such a good opportunity to buy Steem if you have some money to invest.

Definitely! :) Thanks! and thanks for reading!

You bet, I am accumulating right now, I love this drop! Great contribution.
Upvote and following

Thanks very much @pele23 ! :) and great call on accumulating more right now! :)

I certainly hope that people start buying right now, because is such a great opportunity to get into steem today at a low entry point. It may go below $1.00 today and all I keep thinking is how to get my hands on some more money so I can buy more steem. Unfortunately I am a bit short on funds right now, but I am going keep thinking if there is anyway I can get my hands on some cash today. Upvoted and Resteeming!

I agree wholeheartedly! I am looking for the best way to liquidate a little bit more money right now so I can do exactly the same! Thanks for the upvote and resteem! :)

This post is really inspirational. If only I could figure out how to buy steem. I've been studying crypto for several months now and am still unable to acquire it with fiat (USD). Any suggestions? Forget Coinbase, Kraken or Gemini (Doesn't serve AZ) or any exchange that requires SSN, blood type, sexual preference and your firstborn.

haha 'firstborn', that's hilarious (and almost true on some of these exchanges haha). I'm glad you liked my post! :) Thanks for reading! :)

So, there are a few ways it can be done. I don't know of a way to buy steem with USD straight yet (please, someone reading this, give input if you know of one), but you can get it with BTC pretty easily. One way is:

  1. You can navigate to your 'wallet' page and choose 'buy steem' from the dropdown next to your steem balance.
  2. This will bring you to the 'blocktrades' page which will have a 'generate deposit address' section which, once selected, will give you the deposit address where you can send whatever amount of BTC you want which will become steem in your account.
  3. Send the BTC from anywhere to that address and you will fund your account.

That being said, if you're having issue getting the BTC to do that, you will have to go through an exchange that sells that for USD. I personally have used Coinbase in the past (shying away a bit recently and am moving to Gemini soon, I think), so I'm not sure what the best way would be. I did a quick google search that yielded:

https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/en/buy-bitcoin-credit-debit-card/

That being said, always be aware of any site you visit that offers it and make sure it is legitimate (cross-reference other sources and reviews of its legitimacy). Otherwise, I'd recommend googling "how to buy BTC with a credit/debit card' and then look around, cross-reference reviews (feel free to message me/comment on one of my posts if you have questions too :) ) .

I joined Coinbase a little before they required a lot and haven't had any issues in the past, although I've heard some stories about recent changes making it a little tougher there.

Hahaha, thank you for taking the time to reply! I'm sick of signing up with sites that advertise 'Buy bitcoin with your debit/credit card instantly' I've signed up and given sensitive information to several, including kraken, who then tell me: " Oh sorry, we need more verification from you. You have to send a picture of yourself with your id and a utility bill in your hand" " what? I pay all my bills electronically. What are you talking about? Sorry for the rant.

You're welcome! :) and yeah, I know exactly what you mean! You gotta be careful always! :) It's the wild west right now!

agreed

I am hoping that the Steem hay day hasn't even started yet. The high earnings for a new person from YouTube, in my opinion, will not happen. That platforms prime time is over and will no longer provide a viable income especially for someone just getting into the game.

Agreed!!! This and, if DTube flourishes, DTube, are the new versions of rewarding/monetized channels that YouTube/FB had! :)

Yes, I agree, sorry I have been off for a few days, I had to help a family friend with an emergency. Thank you for the upvote, it means a lot to me.

No worries! Happy to and best wishes to your family and friends! :)

I was begin to worried and the same thing cross my mind, to buy steem now(if of-course I've had the money), but thank you for this!

You're very welcome! :) and yeah, I'm in the same boat; going to see what I can do without stretching myself overly thin to get a little more while it's cheap! :)

I hear ya :) But my payouts are dropped by 0.5 sbd... :(
