I remember a few years ago, when the first alternative coins boom appeared on the market.
So many new coins with often decent ideas on paper at least, which most often turned out to be clear hypes based on nothing, failures, vaporware, and instead, the only purpose from those was to gather more Bitcoins.
At least for the people that wished to ride the game of "fake hype" , right before moving to the next "coin of the week".
They actually knew they were in it for this reason alone.
There were no other goals.
What I would call the "gullible people" or simply "the badly informed people",
often ended up stuck in the end, and disgusted for good reasons.
It was such a scammy world, and I could not say that I was proud to see this madness.
I wondered about the time where we would see real coorporates with real plans, aswell as actual capital to make the crypto world looks as it should be.
Something serious that is far from a joke.
I believe it really started with Ethereum Ico, and as much as some people hated the idea of it, and waited for a long time to see the birth of this platform.
It did bring something on the table that was innovative, that no one has done before, and generally helped to spread the word about crypto, a little more, in an efficient way.
Ironically, before Ethereum actually was born, as it took a long time to get started,
It is the times that we saw the years of the "scam coins".
Today, we are facing so many great projects which are backed up by capitals that we could not imagine before.
Ico funds raising has become a standard more and more.
The game has not changed so much, regarding the fact, that we all want to make a profit out of something, and obviously, to get more bitcoins than we had before.
The difference is that most of us now invest in things that are not just "hypes" anymore, and that we don't only think of getting more Bitcoins.
We actually want to be part of many projects and get more shares into all those potentials projects rather than just Bitcoins.
And not only for monetaries purposes anymore.
There are still scams around us, but it is now much easier to invest in something that has great fundamentals structures, and to not be deceived.
Most projects nowdays also provide great transparencies, and slowly spread outside our crypto bubble, to reach the world.
I am proud to be part of this next step in the crypto revolution.
And excited to see what the crypto world will look like in a few years from now.
I just wrote about my own view on the whole bubble thing. My point is very simple, if each one of us do not make their part, we can ruin the party. If we get enough bad examples out on the street we'll sure piss off a bunch of regulators and traditional investors, and that will likely limit the whole of crypto and blockchain economy's growth.
Don't miss out on the CFA Institute's view on the ICO Bubble.
