I've been learning a lot recently about the crypto world. The promise of financial freedom, decentralization, privacy, smart contracts etc. However, I came to realize that it is creating yet another elite.
Why?
Well, it requires a lot of money to even get into the market to buy anything. It requires a lot of money to buy ASICs or other mining rigs to mine anything (yet, the ROI is not large). And it creates this Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) frenzy when people try to catch the run away train and often pay out a lot of money to buy at inflated prices. Finally, you need lots of money to run master nodes to benefit from Proof of Stake (PoS).
All these do not seem to me like the "happy world" the crypto is promising. It's a rat race which favors wealthy early adopters. Also, the amount of electricity wasted is just unethical to me.
Now, there are exceptions. SteemIt is one great example. Another one I recently came across might be Cicada Project. Yet another project designed for the masses Rocket Pool.
What do you think is the best way of benefiting from crypto world for regular people?
Cheers,
Brenda

DCA = dollar cost averaging
Put a little bit of money on the same day every month or every week, into BTC and ETH. Hold it. Do this consistently every month or every week
Thanks :-) Yes, it's a proven "passive" investing strategy; however, it still requires people have some leftover money to invest.
